What an awkward experience!
I booked an appointment to try some wedding suits at Mayer, in Chadstone. As soon as I arrived, I've been asked if had a look at the models on the website as they couldn't have all of the exposed in the shop.
I felt embarrassed as I didn't know I was supposed to do some homework before the appointment. The shop assistant didn't seem to have much interest in showing the models/colours available, telling me that I can have a look on their website.
I have been give only 2 opinions between the only two tuxedos exposed. I also have been told by the shop assistant that she would only have taken some measurements during the appointment, just to see what's my size, and I didn't have to worry about the colour or of the model for the moment. She gave me a shirt that was 4 sizes bigger. I was looking like a sugar glider ahahah
When I asked if they had a better/smaller shirt she answered saying that their clothes have to fit a wide range of customers. So, the fact that the shirt was so big, was normal, as long as it would fit well around my neck.
At the end I could try 2 jackets, 2 pants, the shirt (from the movie Zorro) and 2 vests only, bu just because I insisted to try a smaller size. The tie and a pocket square were too much to have on that day.
After less than 10 minutes, the shop assistant was already tired of assisting me and said that she had another appointment and did not specify if she would have come back or not.
Well, after 10 minutes that I was waiting in the fitting room, without seeing her coming back, I got changed and I went back in the Ferrari section. She was at the computer by herself and looking around. I thought she would have come back in the fitting room section to complete the service. I was expecting to know know the final price, T&C and how to book and return the dress. While I was waiting for her, I had a look at some other clothes around and after another 5 to 10 minutes I decided to collect my things and leave.
Suddenly, I noticed that on a chair in the fitting room area, she forgot a folder with all my personal details (name, surname, address, phone number, date of the wedding,), easy to access for everyone. So, before leaving I decided to return to her desk the folder with my personal details, as I did not feel comfortable and professional leaving sensitive data unattended. As soon as I was to get to her desk, she reached me asking if I was already leaving. I politely said that I waited for a while, without knowing if she would have came back or not and I thought that it would have been nice to return the folder that she forgot in the fitting room section. She answered that, as they have my size/measurements now, I could come back just 2 weeks before the wedding and book my dress, as it's unusual that people look for their wedding dress with so much in advance.

Reasons of my frustration experience:
- poor interaction from the sales rep (in manners and attention to the details)
- impossibility to look at the suits in the store
- no alternative options available
- inexistent attention to the customer and understanding of the customer needs
- rough interaction with the customer
- poor design of the suit
- sales rep unable to explain costs, T&C and finalise the offer.

I went to Ferrari Formalwear to pick up a three-piece suit. I had Jovana as my attendant. She gave considerate & honest advice and was very responsive to my feedback. I got a suit I was happy with for a good price, and Jovana made it a stress free and fun experience.
