Fernwood Women's Gym Narre Warren

NOT RECOMMENDED! WORST GYM I HAVE EVER JOINED! And reading the other reviews EVERYONE HAS THE SAME ISSUE WHEN THEY TRY TO CANCEL! It is worth complaining about this gym to consumer affairs! BTF is so much better than this and better classes. Some trainers can be rude! Read the fine print on the contracts. Make sure you get everything in writing as they are dodgy when it comes to charging you extra! I joined a FIT30 challenge and they keep charging even after the challenge until you contact them. And even after that they will charge you twice before cancelling.

The gym has terrible hours such as closing at 12pm on saturday and closed on sundays, 24/7 hour access is only available for over 18. Told i can go on a student membership freeze (I had exams) free of charge but once off then be told i had to pay a freeze fee, which is more than i was expecting to pay so it was not in my balance and i was also charged a late debit fee (my balance was in my saving account), I should at-least know where my money is going towards. The gym is small, very limited facilities and there are 2 weightlifting sections however one section is nearly always busy with circuit classes so theres only one squat rack for use, i did not realise how bad this was until exploring other gyms especially for the cost of this gym. Cancelling fee was $200 because i had a 12 month membership, plus 2 next debits (so an extra month of being at the gym). I’ve heard and seen other women try to cancel their gym membership and been absolutely guilt-tripped by employees at receptionist about how there is 24 hours in a day and that it depends on how you spend them (some people are just busy people! Family, work) they should be more understanding and helpful. The locked in contract is so unflexible.
Ladies, if you’re interested in the comfort of being with only women go to gyms with female only zones, freeway’s female only area is larger than fernwoods entire gym (2x cheaper too) How is it that a female only gym sells a singular pad for 5 DOLLARS? Female hygiene products already are overpriced for something women have no choice over, it is extremely disappointing and a female’s gym should not be further contributing to that. Upon cancelling my membership they did not send me a receipt or tell me the schedule of my next few payments for cancellation and again the same reject payment fee applied which is so stupid. My experience with fernwood over 6 months has been that its not flexible, unhelpful and money hungry. I have no issue with paying good money for a quality gym but i should at least know where my money is going and this is not the standard.
I would never waste my time with fernwood again.

Rip off unclear contract once you sign up they take endless money from your account and you cant even cancel your membership before 30 day notice.

This place is a joke! Continuing to Harass customers! The owners r doing it on purpose to get a pleasure out of it. Keep going and good luck is all I can say.

Hypoxi has been fantastic for me! It has moved the stubborn fat and given me back my shape in 7weeks. I have lost 6.4 kilos and l am fitting into my clothes and now shopping for a 12 to 14 not 14 to 16. It's quick, easy and the team at Narre Warren were encouraging and shared there own personal stories. I have energy and motivation and I would recommend it to anyone that is wanting great results!

A comfortable environment with great classes and facilities. Ample and new machines, definitely recommend!

I use to train at Narre Warren, now currently at Cranbourne as closer to home but will definitely be in to do some classes at both clubs. Everyone at fernwood are so lovely and make you feel comfortable. Very clean gym and great equipment.

I absolutely enjoy coming in for the FIIT30 training sessions. The trainers and staff are so welcoming, supportive, friendly and helpful. Fernwood narre warren is an amazing facility that really makes me feel comfortable.

I have had the exact same problem that the another reviewer has had with Fernwood and she has said it best so I shall reiterate her words:

I feel compelled to share with people that this gym will not uphold parts of their contracts that don’t suit them.

I’ve attempted multiple times to leave my contract with Fernwood from the exit date listed on the paperwork I signed and they’ve repeatedly amended the date based on their closures due to covid and apparently wish to hold me to the “minimum financial agreement” that their contract lists.

Sorry; that’s not how contracts work. They are to be upheld in full. And if you need to amend contracts for whatever reason, they need to be reissued and signed.

You cannot pick and choose which parts of your contract are valid. You want to change my exit date? Put it in writing and get a signature.

If you aren’t going to honour the contract I signed, then that means none of it is valid. Including a minimum amount you want me to spend according to it.

As all the other negative reviews here state; all about money, not customer service.

So I'm pretty disgusted with Fernwood Fitness and will be seeking further advice on contractual obligations and rights. I have also spoken with many other members who are just as angry. A shame really as I thought this was a reputable company.

I absolutely love this gym, the staff is very helpful and the equipment is all brand new and modern.
I have been a member for over 10 years and would never go anywhere else

Moved from NSW, first time joining a gym after having my baby, and was such a smooth experience the staff there were amazing and and the trainers are very supportive and encouraging.

Fernwood Narre Warren is the best club amazing trainers Nicolle Raab Muirhead ️with Fit30 class amazing and Karina Hardy with her amazing classes! That’s always given us the best result and looked after us always! And amazing staff always with beautiful smile and great helped, I have never met any gym like Fernwood gym Narre Warren the best I recommend anyone to come to Fernwood Gym Nareen Warren!

From the second you enter you are greeted by the most amazing friendly staff, they go above and beyond to help.
I love being a part of the Fernwood family and best of all you get to train with the most amazing ladies with no judgment who make you feel welcome at all times new or old, there’s nothing better then walking into a class full of smiles, it definitely makes your day a better one.

I love Fernwood Fitness Narre Warren, I have never had such an amazing experience at any other gym I have been part of in the past.
We have the best trainers and a great group of women to train with ️️

This place is my second home. The staff and the members are like a family. Made some amazing friends over the years. Absolutely love coming here. My favourites are the group classes. The trainers are awesome and always push you to the limit. Highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to start there fitness journey. With all the latest gym fittings, equipment and sauna, you wont be disappointed. Great Fit30 programs and Personal trainings for those looking for extra workout. You never get bored here.
