Ferndale Park reviews
16Lovely place to walk the dog and watch skateboarders, runners and walkers. Set among established pretty trees.
Nice park. Decent Riding and walking/running path. Drinking taps around the oval if you forget your water bottle.
Just beware the mama possum and her baby if walking at night.
We watched a great game of football between Ashburton Redbacks and Camberwell Sharks. The ground was muddy in patches and made conditions tough for the boys. Waterproof shoes/boots if you are intending to play on the field after wet weather.
Good cricket ground with nice nets for the practice and also there is a good cafe across the road.
Good place to watch sport and go for walks. Cafe nearby for food and drinks. Is adjacent to an excellent walking trail. There is a really good kids playground, cricket nets and automated toilet block
Ferndale Park is quite large with a sporting oval, and shared walking and cycling tracks (Ferndale Trail), as well as a kids playground. It also has some, but limited, seating and public toilets. There are some good cafes like the Pantry and Has Been close nearby on Glen Iris Road.
The park is home to St Marys Salesian Amateur Football Club, Ashburton Willows Cricket Club and Ashburton Junior Football Club and it gets quite busy when there's a home game on. The main problem at this park is that parking is very limited.
Another sensational park/playground in Glen Iris. This would have to be the kids favourite one as there's lots to climb, jump off and swing on. Not to mention the epic sandpit. The kids also love watching the local AFL games, and enjoy bike rides along the Ferndale Trail with the rainbow lorikeets.
Good place to watch sport and go for walks. Cafe nearby for food and drinks. Sits Afghan adjacent to an excellent walking trail
Tracks are so wonderful except for dangerous, aggressive cyclists who are going at breakneck speed around toddlers, cruising bikes and walkers/runners. Wasnt aware tracks are for racing
Nice park land with a good playground and a large oval for kids and dogs to run around. Close parking too. Park is connected to a series of other parks so you can go for a nice long walk. Heaps of dogs and runners and cyclists though so it can get very busy. Cafe right across the road has decent coffee and an outdoor seating area. Overall lovely area to visit. Look forward to next time.
Fabulous place to be lots of greenery and a very well maintained oval. The playground is great for the kids. The public toilets there are reasonably clean
Quiet and leafy, cool even in the summer thanks by the beautiful big trees. Great for a stroll or bike riding.
Went for a visit to this park. Was disappointed.
Tried eating the grass but it tasted disgusting. There was no taste and i couldn't even eat it. Barely compares to the high quality that is in Markham Reserve.
Unbelievable
Nice suburban park. Busy road nearby & the parking can be difficult to safely get kids out of the car.
Beautiful park, lots of big old trees, great new kids playground and very popular with dog owners and locals. A big section for dogs off-leash. Enjoy
Poor drainage, the pedestrian walkway on the side of the playground turned into a small lake.
The toilet is messy and has been in operation for more than three consecutive days. Is there anyone who is cleaning the cleaning?
