Fergus Cafe reviews
53Stopped by on a few occasions to get takeaway coffee which has always been done well, service is quick and staff are friendly.
This a great cafe, ticking all the boxes and more. It’s tidy, clean and nicely decorated. The food is great and more interesting than the average opinions. Service is efficient and effective. Lots of seating areas and not too noisy.
Enjoyed brunch here, chill
Scrambled and the sweet potato fritters for me! Great location nice courtyard too
Very nice cafe with lots of seating in the back patio. The Chilli Scrambled eggs were excellent, and good coffee too.
This is a lovely local cafe. I often do Pilates a few doors up and get a coffee after, which is always great! I didn’t realise there was a beautiful courtyard out the back until I met a friend here today. The food is nice and well-priced, and the service is friendly.
Such a sweet cafe with lovely staff and delicious food! I love coming here to get work done on my laptop (there‘s a power point!) and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Thanks so much & I’ll be back again soon:)
The coffee was divine, I ordered a very simple poached eggs on toast, with goats cheese and everything was perfect. I also had a slice of their fruit toast and it was DIVINE. I highly recommend a visit to this cafe.
I ordered a coffee. The guy behind the counter didn't say hello. Didn't smile. Didn't say thanks. Felt very uncomfortable. Besides that also forgot sugar in the coffee. I have seen customer in reviews before me said the same about rude service. Don't recommend
Ignore the one star comments. Sometimes it's busy (because the coffee is great) so the barista doesn't have time to bend the knee for Princess Karen. The staff have always been friendly and the food is awesome too.
I must say the coffee we had tasted amazing. My 3 star is on the temperature of the coffee we got served, it was slight warm not even hot enough or hot, so after 2 min the coffee was cold and tasted weird. The other thing we got served without napkins or service which would be nice to have some on the table. Anyhow first taste was amazing. If you could warm your coffee to 60 deg it would be a great thing. Thanks
Very tasty and lots of varieties to choose from. Love the coffee and the courtyard. Great staff and a good vibe.
We are regular customers and really like your coffee, but the weekend staff have TWICE messed up our coffee order, which never happened during weekdays. Unfortunate we didn’t realised it until we drove off. Really disappointing. Please double check orders with your customers.
Hi. I walked past this morning 3/09/22 with my dog, the gentleman at the front counter saw me but didn’t come out and say if you were dog friendly or not or if I could sit out the front, made eye contact but no friendly smile like the usual locally owned cafes.
Being ever so hungry, I took my dog home, and thought I would go and try out Furgus and dine in by myself.
When returning, two of the three staff looked at me as I walked in and two looked but no greeting or anything like that. Then a staff member asked if I was wanting to eat inside or outside. I said I wanted to eat in.
Wanting a friendly cafe to venture to being a new local. I found yours to look friendly and funky, but your staff are rude, and have no customer service experience from what I saw. Usually a friendly smile is a great approach.
Sadly I won’t be back. If I want attitude like that I go shopping at Chadstone, at lest they make eye contact before being rude!
Great menu and delicious food. A lovely environment with a covered/heated courtyard. Good service too. Would recommend
Excellent coffee, brunch was nicely seasoned and look amazing! 5 STARS Would recommend to the nan!
Horrible coffee and horrible service. Went there for a family breakfast and not one staff member welcomed us and all the staff members looked like there dog just died.not one smile! Won’t be coming back here again
Cappuccino okay - too milky for my taste.
Had the smashed avo. All right.
Notes for next time - try the lunch menu.
This is a great neighbourhood cafe. There is a fantastic spacious covered courtyard that welcomes dogs. The coffee is consistently great and the service is efficient and welcoming. The food is delicious and the menu is tempting. This is a versatile, lovely cafe where you can choose to linger if you wish or have a quick lunch break.
Good coffee, but i asked for a soft boiled egg with toast, which came to me as an overdone poached egg.i had it sent back, only, to receive another poached egg.my friend got the fergus benedict, which came with a potato rosti burnt to a crisp, vinegary poached eggs and a mixed up coffee order.i hate to be that person, but this was just a really disappointing experience.the kitchen staff clearly had a lack of care.
The coffee is great at Fergus. The menu is well thought out with something to suit everyone. The food itself is top quality, fresh, tasty and presented well. Most importantly, the staff are professional and friendly. Day in day out, these guys have kept their doors open to bring some daily joy to locals in tough times. I encourage anyone who lives in the area to try them out and support them just like they have done their best to look after us.
