Fence On

Appalling customer service, the worst I have ever dealt with, all smiles whilst taking your money, then absolute silence after that when it comes to standing by their products, very shifty. Their idea of warranty (after they have been fully paid) seems to be to ignore emails and also ignore any request to come and fix our near brand new fence. Rusting parts, broken parts and now totally inoperable and only months old and these people have now not returned for months to fix what is now junk = this to me seems like a classic case of 'take the money and run' type business when it comes to fixing things under warranty (and what now seems like a worthless warranty). I would not use or recommend these people for any fencing or gates - or for any thing that requires that you pay them your hard earned money. Protect yourself and go to a reputable business that stands by their products. In my opinion, these people should not be in business. To me, it has been like theft of my money, many thousands of dollar that I have worked hard and honestly to earn and they do not seem to care and have taken my money. From my bad experience with these people, I suggest that you DO NOT use these people. If you do, and their faulty products fail, good luck getting them to stand by any of their legal obligations to repair anything. Be *WARNED* of doing any business with these people.

Fence On made me a aluminium side gate for my house, workmanship was great, pricing very reasonable, good quality, the installers also did a good job, turnaround time only a few weeks. 15 months later the paint is flaking off. They blame powder coaters. I edit my review. The offer to fix. That was 6 months ago. Still waiting

In summary, Fence On provided good old fashioned customer service with skilled fabricators and installers producing a product that we are absolutely wrapt with. Highly recommend! We have used them twice with fantastic service both times.

We have just completed our front fence, with Fenceon completing the works. We are blown away by the result, with the quality of the build and expertise of the designers and installers.

We obtained a few quotes, and while
Fenceon we’re marginally more expensive we felt comfortable given our past experiences. We especially like that fence on build individual panels together (rather than the drop in and spacer method which is not as solid)

The pictures speak for themselves, we used an electrician and Concreter recommended by Michael and they both did exellent work.

All in all another great experience, we’re very happy. Thanks to Michael, Lily, and the team at Fenceon

We recently sought quotes for side gates and a front fence on a new house we built. We rang around locals, got a few out to measure but could never get a quote and struggled to get anywhere.

Then we found and rang FenceOn. Michael and his colleague turned up on time and clearly knew what they were talking about, offering advice for a better way to do what we had in our head. We received a written quote the next day and I had a number of emails back and forward with Michael where he answered all my queries. Soon after we paid the deposit and everything was underway. We went to the factory to inspect the frames before powder-coating and were really impressed with the finish and craftsmanship. Not long after it was go time and our side gates got installed. The installers were lovely, and while there was a bit of a language barrier, they clearly knew what they were doing and spent a good amount of time making sure their install was clean and correct.

We really cannot be happier with our experience with Fence On, and will definitely use them again in the near future. A huge thankyou to Michael and the team (including their dog Flash!), we're looking forward to working with you again soon!

I tried getting some quotes for my front fence and gate, some people gave time and didn't even show up, some gave such high princes that I needed to sell me house to pay for it, but luckily I called FenceOn and Michael was very helpful and professional, answered all my questions, helped my choose my motor and explained very detail. I got a new automated swing gate from Fence on recently. When I gave my dimensions, I got an instant quote from Peter which was very reasonable and competitive.

They are a small team, but very responsive. Lady in the office, Lilly kept me updated all the time. Took little more than a month to complete the job, however I am overall satisfied with the work they carried out.

I am very happy with the quality of Fence On, the excellent customer service and the overall experience. I should note however that beginning this review, it is not an ordinary review in that we had a particularly hard gate installation but Fence On did a great job.

In regards to pricing and quality. The pricing was significantly better than a number of alternative places I looked at. A neighbour of ours paid much more for a similar style of fence which I believe to be of lesser quality. In regards to quality, it appears that most of the handiwork is done in Australia, either in their factory, or onsite (inclusive of welding). I noted that there were several key points of quality which impressed me. Firstly, I noted that other fencers sometimes used inferior quality parts that fell off due to the tolerances of the parts (I saw this first hand with another neighbour). I also noticed that although my street is on a sharp angle, and so is the slope of our land, the elderly labourer that worked on our fence did an incredible job spreading out the fence posts and measuring it all up (took about a day!) So that at any casual glance it appears to be completely straight. I don’t believe any other similar style fence on our street was done to this degree of perfection.

In regards to service. This is a word tossed around a lot these days, however to me it has some actual meaning, which is basically when things don’t go to plan, how well do parties work together to get a good outcome for everyone.
Michael initially quoted me for a sliding gate, however after work began and given the slope of my land he realised he thinks a regular gate would be better. There are a few caveats though.
Firstly, this ordinarily costs a bit more, but true to his word he kept the agreed upon quote and simply installed them.
Secondly, our driveway is particular wide, so having a swing gate on a sharp angle is either not possible or would look terribly ugly. However, Michael’s father ‘Ara’ is a genius of design and has created his own sliding-rising gate system. The ramification of this system is a gate that looks excellent and straight both when opened and when closed. However in order to do this it requires a great deal of planning and work, it certainly isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ situation.
Thirdly a mark of service is the kind of response you get when things go pear shaped. Our gate was finally installed with two motors and a locking mechanism. However, like many thing entirely custom made, and most of it by hand, there were a number of unforeseen issues. Ultimately the most significant issues was the placement of motors, the stoppers for the wheels and a locking mechanism. All these things took time, patience and planning to overcome and work around. Michael, Sarkis, John, Shunt and Ara spent a great deal of time examining and solving these issues, despite the fact this project had not gone as planned. Many others might have thrown their hands up and given up, but not Fence On. It has been very impressive.

The end result is simple. We have a good looking, solidly constructed fence and motorised mechanical gate. The realistic alternatives to this would have been either an angled gate, which may not have been possible given the width of our driveway and certainly wouldn’t have looked good. Or a sliding gate, which would have taken space away from the front of the garden, minimised the height of the fence (given the slope of our land), and probably clogged the valley the gate would have sat in given the slope of our land. In short, we are so happy that my neighbour and I are now using Fence On to construct our boundary fence over our shared garden bed too because it looks so good and is so secure.

If you want fantastic quality, good pricing, fantastic service and the piece of mind that if things go pear shaped you are truly covered 100% and to the nth degree, then I highly recommend Fence On for your fencing or gates.
