This is a very peculiar volcanic rock installation, surprised there isn't a plaque talking about it.

Although it is often described as an 'eyesore', I admit I have a soft spot for this sculpture. Old photos reveal a complex system to grottos filled with stalactites and agaves. Today, after what seems to be several botched attempts by dodgy concreters to fix it up, it resembles the petrified root system of a mangrove plantation. I can see why many would call it an eyesore, but there's a certain rugged beauty to this piece that is there for those willing to search for it.
