Terrible experience with their National Service Manager, Robert Russell.

Bought heaps of equipment from them but the grill failed after 2 months, caused heaps of disruptions to our business. They use Excel Catering Repairs to attempt to fix the grill but the incompetent repairman failed twice to diagnose the real problems and couldn't fix it. Instead he reported that the unit was installed incorrectly (a lie as I still have the gas plumber certificate of compliance from installation) and there is excessive draft in the kitchen (not the issue), which is used by FHE to avoid their warranty obligations and dares to send me an invoice for the failed repair attempts.

I've had to fix the grill myself now and have told FHE about their incompetent repairs service but the National Service Manager, Robert Russell is terribly arrogant and has no interest in customer service and has ordered their service staff to stop warranty service on all my other equipment purchased from them. This is now going to be a legal battle.

FYI, the grill is working great after our own intervention and is installed in the same spot.

It feels like they're happy to sell you things but will look for any excuse to avoid after sales obligations.

The faulty equipment (grill, steamer cabinet, etc) have now disrupted our business for 4+ weeks and we're out of pocket for our own repairs costs, loss of income and of course the cost of equipment that aren't any good.

Do not use. It's a long term risk for your business.

The service I got from all the Service staff was fantastic. I would definitely recommend them.
Had an Issue with Accounts But it was fixed by Alex in Melb with a phone Call So I Appreciate his Input Well Done Melbourne

Please do your self a big favor and STAY AWAY! This company don't give a little care about warranty of there faulty product.
Purchased new chest freezer and it's lid doesn't want to stay up from day one.technician can't fix the issue and left.
Week later I called the company and theysaying it's not warranty issue.guy over the phone (National manager) is very very rude and show you very clearly that he don't care and don't want to help in any way.after the phone call they send me call out fee of $213.13. I am still waiting for call back from them. Let's see where it's go. I keep you updated

Ok so I’ve read some bad reviews, I can’t speak for them personally but I had a awesome experience with the team in Victoria. My shop (fish and chips) is located 3.5 hours away in a area called “Colac”. Bought a brand new fryer from a dealer that supplied this brand, when my plumber installed it, it didn’t turn on.
I urgently and frantically contact them, explained that it’s a new fryer and just been installed, due to the urgency they sent there own technician to check out our fryer - the technician after driving 4 hours only to find that my plumber made a mistake in the installation, fixed the problem and didn’t even charge me one penny to come out! I could not recommend these guys enough, really helped me when I was stressed out and panicking. They really helped me even thoe it was my plumbers fault.
I am looking forward to recommending them to all the local business owners due to the service after sales.

Keep up the awesome work, family businesses really appreciate it.

Been dealing with FED for several years and they always go all the way to help me esp. Gordon. All the people from our account managers, admins, warehouse people, to after-sales support are very helpful. I always get the best deal from FED. Thank you guys:)

Absolutely disgusting service. Robert Russell is apparently the National Service Manager. His mannerism is appalling and ethics to be questioned.
We purchased a brand new display cabinet, and within the first year it has been out of commission for 9 months. It has been "repaired" 4 times and still not working.
Originally Robert Russell agreed to replace the unit (which I have in writing), he then decided to go against his offer and now is trying to extort us, now only offering us a refund to go towards an upgrade. NO replacement, NO refund of our money. Instead, they have spent 3-4 times the amount of the machines worth in repairs. 4 repairs, including 2 compressors, 12 months old, 1000's of dollars in destroyed stock, 9 months of lost income and STILL an ongoing saga.
Our only option is now court, as advised from the ACCC.
Please be aware. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM FED.

This has been the worst experience with a repairs and warranty team.
Had fridge delivered and installed before Christmas-fridge would not get below 11 (should be 5) and went up to 22-finally got technician out who temporarily fixed it due to factory fault-in the meantime $1000's dollars food ruined and no refrigeration over Christmas. Hear nothing and then get a text saying make sure your fridge is ready for collection-no date-then next day fridge arrives with delivery company unwilling to place in kitchen (basically kerbside at a 3 storey house with no warning) and no one home or no one to install in kitchen and no arrangements to pick up old fridge-so couldnt take delivery-then half a text appears saying you have rejected fridge we cant help you-then finally got on to service manager who was EXTREMELY rude and basically said bad luck you have lost your chance-then no return call from sales manager when elevated-so basically stuck with a brand new fridge that now doesnt work and more ruined food and no contact from anyone at the company-steer clear of this company and HECATER in langwarrin who have been no help-I think the star system and them of posts says it all-these guys should give the game away

The Worse product ever, we are a church we bought 3 Freezer and one fridge all of them 3 door under bench, and all of them one by one during the second year start to fail and need fixing company replace compressor after one year only for 2 of them then in the second year after warranty we spend around $2000 for fixing 3 of them, now the 3 door fridge not working and need $900 to be fix. I Did NOT recommended AT ALL, and they have very bad customer service, we really waste our money in this product.we bought them early 2017.suppose the life time of this equipment from 7 to 10 years.they didn't even pass 2 year.

Worst service ever. There good when you buy off them. When it comes to warranty the customer service is hopeless. Had to wait for a part to come which took over a week under warranty They didn't care that you had a business to run they didn't get apart from Melbourne because they wanted to save money
It was the Grand finial weekend they didn't back us up with anything
No call back not nevev today you have to call them
Never buy from this company again
