Feast @ Village Green Hotel reviews
35Erm it was so boring, the lighting was so bad. The dessert, (Moose) was mid. The lasagna was just in the no area, the beef noodles were disgusting.fruits wasn't bad as it was just fruit. The employs were so awkward, when they took the empty plates, i said thank you, they ignored me.
I've been here about 4 times over the last 10 years or so with the last 3 visits in the last couple of years. I personally wouldn't choose to come here if it wasn't for my friends who enjoy quantity and variety over quality.
Speaking of quality, it's a bit hit and miss. If you like shopping centre food courts then this is what to expect but I'd say food courts are better quality.
The most recent visit here on a Friday night the sweet and sour pork was still cold on the inside. I'd say that this suggests left overs are reheated which isn't very appealing. Especially when it's obvious like this was.
Compared to the Manhattan hotel buffet I'd suggest going there instead. Better quality and variety.
Really bad experience, we been there for a good time but the staff there especially the manger, very rude, she refused to sell a glass of beer to me because we have 20 years old guy and he has no ID card, while later I saw they sell alcohol to the people which they had kids.it’s real discrimination.
When in need of a feast and a buffet is all that can appease then you can't go past the village green
Terrible, rip off, went for dinner during the week the carpet had chicken bones and not been vacuum a least a week, the roast were like rubber. For 42 bucks there should have coffee and tea available its extra cost, no service to table to clear and clean just staff sitting at entrance tacking money.
Food star Frankston 32 dollars nice food and service at least they come to the tables and remove dirty dishes and the carpet is cleain no food scrap or chicken bones.
As always the feast buffet never fails to be 100% the staff are amazing, the food is delicious and the variety is fantastic.
I've been here close to 10 times and I can't get enough of this place
I went to the restaurant because I saw the beautiful pictures of the seafood, I went there and it wasn’t what I thought, the buffet is good but the seafood wasn’t tasting very good, the deserts are ok there’s a few options, but I think $35 per person is not worth it, also the drinks are too much expensive, $6 for a cup of Coke.
Friendly staff, terrible food. Most dishes taste atrocious (or the lack of). My family used to come here a few years ago and it was fine. The quality has gone down greatly and it's just disappointing.
Pretty decent buffet for what you pay. Good selection of hot food. Cold foods included prawns and sweet chilli mussels. Service was not bad, except the bar was a bit disorganised. Drinks were expensive, being charged $6.40 for a pint of postmix was a bit rich. All in all not somewhere you'd go regularly, but not bad for a big fill on a decent budget.
Buffett was a let down on a not so busy Sunday night, website claimed better food on offer parmas, sliders ect. There was non of that available just leftovers from the night before seemed like as things ran out fast. Positive the prawns were good.
As a loyal customer, I brought friends and family here many times. Even within the last fortnight, I came twice, one time with friends and one with family. Food like sticky date pudding was good, as always.
The waitresses were kind and good to people. But there was a waiter called Arnott, and he was the rudest receptionist I had ever seen. We came early last night for the 7: 15 session, and we saw this happening to a 90-year-old veteran and his companies. At first, the senior tried to pay for the upcoming session, the brown waitress was so nice to him and let him know that he could start paying later. His wife was in the early session, and he wanted to greet her. The waitress understood that well.
Regardless of the situation, your “good” employee Arnott just kept ignoring the carer, kept saying, “that’s so simple, come back later. ” and didn’t want to listen to any of them. That Arnott just pushed the carer away with his elbow and was so rude to the three people.
While other waitresses allowed his wife to come outside to the pub area to say hi to him, I felt so sorry for them and so disappointed in that waiter. I heard and witnessed that thing happen, and that Arnott guy just being rude, arrogant, and not listening to his customers.
I had a conversation with one of the carers and learned more.
That’s a disgraceful moment for the person who served the country for the peaceful life that we have now. I brought my kids with me that night, and that was a good lesson for my kids to avoid being arrogant one like Arnott.
Love the food was delicious thinking how I'm going to make it to my car lol pity that that this so far away from me but I will be back with my grandchildren and families that's for sure and we'll be first in line again Yeah
Poor food didn't have much variety as expected especially in Asian cuisine wouldn't come again wasn't worth the 35 dollar fee veggies werent cut properly staff members should of cut the roast nicely into slices for customers to serve themselves but girl was just staring. I honestly wouldn't return quite disappointing.
Lots of room for improvement
Went for a family tea the food was horrible no taste alot of the hot selection wasnt even hot right down to the roast pumpkin it was cold the roast meat was dry couldnt belive how much it had changed in quality in 12 months very disappointed will not be going back
The place and food was good value for money, the service needs a lot improvement. There was a waitress who was quite rude and definately needs to be trained in customer service
Been there many times great buffet as always, have now added mussels and shrimp, getting better every time I go there
A really good buffet. Mix of all sorts of food. Well worth the entry price. Been there half a dozen times in the past few months. Haven't been disappointed yet.
Best value buffet with a huge variety of food and desserts. Such a great price. Been here multiple times and will continue.
When arriving its a half hour wait to be seated as 100+ ppl are to be seated at 5.30 for first sitting with only to ppl taking payments. Then there I the line up for food taking another 10 mins each time you go up to get food also took another 10 mins to get drinks bc of the line up at the bar. So if you want to eat a fair bit you really don't have time with a 90 min seating. Food was good for a buffet so that was a bonus.
Small queue waiting at the entrance for an 11: 30 sitting.
Good and fresh food, with lots of variety.
Waiting staff are very good.
