The food that was coming out looked really nice, unfortunately we never received ours, all we got in the end was a sorry and a refund. Absolute joke

I'm quite sad to say that the Farmers Arms has come undone. I've been a few times in 2023 and each time the kitchen has been a real gong show. Strange meals that don't match menu descriptions, meals taking a long time and showing up erratically, or meals that just don't come at all. Last night we waited 90 minutes for mains (3 x parmas and a fish and chips so nothing difficult) in a room that was 1/3 full before we decided to leave so we could just get something from the supermarket to cook ourselves before it shut. Food was coming out to other tables in dribs and drabs with no real semblance of order. Not sure if you should expect waitstaff to notice you've been sitting there for 90 mins since ordering without food arriving but that didn't happen either.

Reading the recent reviews it seems like this is now par for the course for the place now. It's a huge shame because they easily have the best taps in town, but maybe they need to stop serving meals until they can handle it? This isn't helping them. The owner (s) need to intervene urgently because reputations in small towns are hard to fix.

Excellent meals which were reasonably priced. Good selection of beers on tap invluding a local Ballarat brew. Good selection of wines too.

Expectations were high from the way friends talked this place up; Maybe too high? I booked for a birthday lunch. Upon entry I felt let down as lighting was quiet dingy and the main bar area smelt like there was an old water leak and the carpet was mouldy. The two staff that were on were lovely, albeit one was clearly learning the ropes, placing pressure on the one supervising staff member. The dining room is in desperate need of a remodel to keep place with the establishments reputation. The meals came out in a reasonable time frame, a decent serving size and everyone was happy with the flavours and how everything was cooked and presented. Kudos to the kitchen brigade. The table took longer than expected to be cleared and although asking a few times, the birthday cake never made it to the table. We ended up taking it away with us. All in all, happy with the meals, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Unfortunately on the night we went for dinner the pub was extremely busy with not enough staff. Food took nearly 2 hours to be served after ordering. The waiter was apologetic and offered a free round of drinks although they never arrived with the waiter reporting they had run out of glasses! Was a really disappointing meal.

The only pub I’d eat and drink at in Creswick. The best food, specifically the butter chicken. Staff are the best! The owner, Chris, is also a legend and really cares about the customer experience. Absolute legends.

Below average and expensive pub meal. They stuffed up a chicken schnitzel and chips! Tried to do a fancy crumb ended up a thick seperate heavy over cooked / burnt crumb. Chips browner than tea and harder then chalk.salad seems to have suffered oil spill…even the lemonade tastes old and dirty, need to clean the lines.do yourself a favour skip the outdated decor and plastic flowers go to a cafe.

Had a great meal for my birthday with friends on Monday night, (9.1.23) food was great, service was to, I had the pork ribs and will go so far as to say, they were the best ribs I have had, the people I had dinner with, had equally high praise for their meals, and the mango dessert we all had and it was the end to a really lovely meal. And a shout out to our waiter, he was good value, and the service he was providing was awesome, give the lad a raise.

Great restaurant. Food was delicious and arrived in quick time. The good thing was we arrived, sat down, ordered our meals and didn't have to go online to make a booking. Will be going back again. Great stuff, excellent.

Great vountry pub and Enjoyed a meal for Dinner, the best Wagyu Steak in the country, prices are up with the CBD but worth the trip. The open fire in the bar was the star.

Excellent food and drinks for a Saturday night. Just a brilliant place all round. The porterhouse steak with pepper sauce was delicious.

Just your average country pub. We were recommended this place as a "gastropub", with excellent food. Judging by some other reviews from repeat customers, things have gone downhill recently. Would not recommend driving here from Ballarat like we did - plenty of better pubs in Ballarat.

The fish and chips was delicious.the service was ssoooo friendly, like seriously friendly, everyone working there was so happy and funny and professional! Stopped off on drive home from Horsham and didn't expect to find such a great little place! Highly recommend!

Sad to say the food and service has gone down hill drastically. Range has reduced to simple meals and low in quality. There's a reason the dining room has gone from packed to near empty. I hope the old farmers arms returns soon, was such a lovely place to go to.

Surprisingly different. I didn't think too much of it and with the limited hours of some of the other eateries, we decided to try this. The steak was excellent. I had a crab spaghetti and it was excellent. Kids meal were large in portion. If you are in the area, give it a try.

Very nice place to eat, comfortable, spacious - could easily fit a wheelchair/walker in the restaurant. It was full table service. We received our food within 20 minutes. Meals were generous portion sizes and very good quality.

Outstanding food and service! Hands down the best food we have had in a long time. Compliments to the head chef. To Bonnie for her amazing knowledge and customer service. To Holly and Myah amazing care and customer service. When we are back in Creswick we will be back for sure. An easy 5 stars and the kids meals were amazing as were the adult meals. Food was so much better than we expected, presentation and flavour was amazing. Roast chicken was the juiciest we've ever had and everything was hand made and made with attention to detail. Not one to leave reviews but this place is well worth the visit
