A really great service for any individual who has a loved one, friend or significant other misusing alcohol or other drugs. All the staff members have a lived experience with alcohol or other drug use, and are more than willing to help. They provide good resources and Family Drug Help also run information programs with other service providers throughout Victoria. If you need to call someone to talk about a family member or friend's drug or alcohol use, give them a call!

The helpline people were awesome, they let me talk when I just really needed someone to listen and were able to give me advice and had programs available to help me deal with my loved ones drug and alcohol problems and how I dealt with them, it was about helping me and not my loved one which was what I needed. Thank you Family Drug Help

I found this service to be life-changing. The information and advice given to me by a very helpful gentleman, saved my relationship. I now have a much broader understanding of addiction and have been able to attend various meetings that were recommended to me over the phone. I strongly recommend this service.

A really helpful service for people who have a loved one experiencing substance misuse issues with alcohol or other drugs. The helpline is staffed during business hours by friendly volunteers who have all had experience supporting a loved one with addiction. They are good to have a chat with or get support and information about these issues from a loved ones point of view.
Family Drug Help also has support groups around Victoria and training and information programs, for example groups for siblings, ice specific education, general education for families and loved ones, and those who have lost a loved one. They also have counseling at their head office in Carnegie.
My family and I have found it to be a really great and much needed service.

I should say they don't give support but more of a referral "Call this number" the person i spoke to was interrupting, was rude and it was quick to hang up. She didn't even listen to my questions before answering " No we don't do that! "
Very disappointed that someone could be so heartless and so rude with such a sensitive matter.
