Fad is my favourite bar in Melbourne! Great atmosphere, fantastic 70,80s music and wonderful staff. It's like going to your cool friends house for a party! Every time I go is a fun, memorable night!

80s music makes this bar one of the most enjoyable place to hang out! People in this bar tend to dance with beer on hand! Hope it will all go back to normal and we can dance in the dancefloor again!

Always one of the places in Melbourne’s CBD I head to on a night off! Great and varied music, big selection of drinks at reasonable prices, friendly staff and good vibes for good times!

The music, drinks and staff are all amazing. It's no surprise Fad has been around for over two decades with no signs of slowing down.

Asked the barmaid about the Draconian measures due to the pandemic and she proceeded to insult me and my friend in no uncertain terms. Won't spend any of our hard earned cash there anymore. There are better options in Melbourne.

Avoid this place as the owner Johnny or jimmy is a rotten egg that has no respect for women and i personally did not feel safe when he came near me! I wont return

It’s just ok.loud music.not a great song list.and then two guys on guitars mumbling their way through a set.left after that.cocktails were good though

Been coming back for years, great vibe, great staff, lovely artworks and gigs, an all round good time if you like wine and a boogie!

Those 80-90s music makes your body move, managers/owner treats me like brothers that’s funny, would come again

Such a fun place to have a drink & dance with your friends. Awesome music that gets everyone dancing. Very friendly bar staff who make you feel very welcome. Def check it out!

A great casual place for dancing. Don't expect much from the wine selection or quality that parts pretty avenge.but otherwise definitely pop in.

Can't go past Fad for a fun night out. Best hits of the 70s & 80s, and cheap beers to boot. Love it.

Great energy, enjoyed the music and the art. Queue to the bar was a bit long, but it happens in a busy venue.

I work in Hospitality and have never been treated with such disrespect. I was at the Bar when I experienced a bartender by the name of Oriana being yelled at by a customer. I proceeded to tell her that she was doing a great job and not to let customers like that frustrate you. I work in hospitality and have experienced the same thing I told her, to which she responded with swearing at me and telling me to f-off when all was trying to do was help.

I then asked to see the owner who was 20 something drinks into the night to tell him his staff are the most disrespectful I have every come across. Before I could address my complaint he called me the most sexist and derogatory terms. I'm a young girl and the owner (Johnny) should be ashamed of the way he talked me. If this is how you're treating paying customers, I'm not too sure how your business is still standing. Will never recommend your bar.
