Don’t rent through these people they are not at all helpful or will rent to people and never ever approve the paperwork at all the look at it and decline it straight away without phone calls to ask income status they don’t give customers a chance at all

Ordered tablets and bbq on 24th October signed contract 3 payments went out still nothing.called them they were charging my other account of another item I had previously ordered.rectified that after about 10 phonecalls.bbq was then delivered within that week but no tablets.called every week in November to follow up on tablets same answer " just waiting on fullfullment team to respond to us and we will let u know" called them to follow up start of December on the tablets as I have heard nothing.then I got told those tablets weren't available so I agreed to swap them to similar tablets.it is now almost Xmas and just received an sms saying tablets will be dispatched in 3 to 4 weeks so mad the purpose of these items were for Xmas presents.

What a right rip off! You end up paying over double what the product is worth or sold elsewhere.
*MOST IMPORTANTLY*
They also falsely advertise rental prices at half the actually starting rental rate.
For example a phone with a advertised rental rate "FROM"$45 will actually be "FROM" $90 at its lowest rate.
We all need to call the Ombudsman and get these people shut down
*We only rented out of pure desperation*

I applied for a product back in may and im still waiting for my so called product, everytime i call or email its the same answer and the waiting period gets longer. Yet ive already made 3 or 4 payments and i still dont have a tracking number. Useless

1 applied for a washer/dryer and was approved. The day after approval I called and asked for first payment to be deducted so I could fast track delivery. 18 days later I still hadn’t heard anything from Essential or their supplier. I called the customer line and was advised (very rudely) I had to wait 21 days before they could do anything. 3 days later I called back and was advised they’d look into it, was then sent a text and email stating the supplier had ran out of stock for my washing machine but had a similar washing machine in stock and asked if I would accept the similar item - I accepted. I then called essential to clarify and was advised the dryer would also be delivered with washing machine. Washing machine was delivered a few days later but no dryer. Supplier wasn’t advised of a dryer to be delivered that day. I called essential back and forth for another week and then received a text and email stating product was out of stock and asked if I approved a similar item - once again, I approved. It’s been over a week since that approval and I am still waiting for my dryer. I have paid 6 payments so far. As a consumer and customer, the service is terrible and looks as though there has been several complaints over the past few months. As a person who has worked in countless customer service roles your company needs to do better with implementing stricter regulations and management for your employees. It’s also making your supplier (s) look bad. If I was the owner of this company, I’d be disgusted with the way my employees are representing my company and loosing money due to poor customer service.

I applied for a rental phone back on the 18 Feb 2022 they have taken the first 4 payments out but I still haven't received my phone & now they are telling me mid may I shouldn't have to wait nearly 3months for a phone I've also rang them with a time frame and it's always the same excuse delays get your act together Essential or I'll be going to take this further & be getting my money back that you have gladly taken from me but have not in return made sure I have my product.

What a terrible company, been a customer for 7 years and I had the most horrible experience today. The "person/robot" on the phone was extremely rude and had no idea about customer service. I hope this poor excuse for a company gets wiped off the grid very soon.

Their sister company Snaffle is even worse, I dont know how they all sleep at night.

I had been with them for years, something has definitely changed! NO WHERE NEAR AS GOOD AS THEY USED TO BE!
Quick to take your money, but they don't have any retailers on hand that can supply the goods. I applied on the 18th, then I was asked to wait for first payment to be taken out (which was totally fine), it's now been nearly a month since I applied. No one has contacted me in this time frame, I have had to call them several times to find out where my goods are, and I just get told they can take up to 21 days! From my point of view it's Been 21days, I tried paying earlier, but was not allowed.
It's getting close to be cancelled!

Love essentials easy applications, easy to talk to friendly staff, repayments are cheaper and i love the fact in 12months i own the product and 12 months goes so quick. Ive been using essentials for over 8 years and they have never failed to amaze me thanks ladies and gentlemen you guys rock

This place is great if you can't afford to buy something up front. I've had many contracts with them, at least 5-6 or more.have absolutely no trouble applying for a product. They take people who have low income or are on centrelink. I've always been treated fairly and with respect.
Just a little warning. Even though they're great, products are brand new and good name brands, just be aware that when you buy something this way, you do pay a lot in costs and interests etc etc.
So make sure it's what you really want because when you work out your repayments, you do pay ALOT more than the product is actually worth!
Apart from that, I can't fault them. I apply online, they call me back to confirm, then I get the product within the next 7-14 days (depending on what it is your buying). Some products even sooner! Very easy and hassell free!

I have been a customer with Essential Appliances for about 7 years, the receptionist is always friendly and helpful and I love their good quality products, The application is quick and easy no fuss, I would recommend giving these guys a call they wont let you down, Keep up the good work ESSENTIAL APPLIANCES!

I suggest you use another courier other than tnt I received no tracking info and you could not tell me nothing came home to find a calling card for a package that apparently had not even left your warehouse as I am studying transport and logistics I know that customer service is paramount because if the customers no nothing about where their items are what are they sposed to do sit around all day for nothing or go out and do something and come home to their calling card I had it scheduled for re delivery but now I am stuck waiting for it again does not matter that I might have things to do tnt does not care about customer service that is why their service is poor have no interest in improving it.
