An awesome team of caring, flexible, and resident-centred professionals whose experience spans across a wide spectrum.

The staff at EPC go above and beyond to care for patients and the community atmosphere gives a real sense of safety whilst you're navigating some tricky issues. The staff are all friendly and genuinely make an effort to get to know each patient.

Really enjoyed the morning walks and got a lot out of the groups (psychoeducation, art therapy, exercise groups, trivia, meditation, there's quite a few!) The therapy team are awesome, truly wonderful people, I feel really lucky to have had their support.

I always felt safe and respected at EPC, I'm grateful to all the staff there who helped me through a pretty rough time in my life.

Psychiatrist saw me at 10pm every night. Not sure how this is conducive with BPAD treatment where good sleep is paramount. Additionally, only 2 nurses ever bothered to introduce themselves and engage with me. I am unsure how the nurses that were allocated me as a patient that didn’t engage with me, were able to write adequate progress notes.

If your looking for a place full of drama, politics, theft, and nurses that treat you like dirt.this is the place to come.too much politics between staff impacting patients mental health then ignoring there needs whilst there having there own rants, medication is messed up every day, groups are rubbish, would not recommend this clinic unless you want your mental health to get worse.

I had previously left a bad and frankly embarrassing review about my experience here, which was during mental health crisis.
I would like everyone to know that The Essendon Private Clinic is a fantastic place. I truly felt like it was my safe place, everyone is very kind. You won't find a better, more caring psychiatrists and nursing staff. You're very lucky to secure a place in this facility. I really miss it and truly it will become your happy place!

Came here for low mood, grief and support. Half of the nurses are lovely and kind, the rest are here for the wrong reasons. No bedside Manner. Power Trips. No time spent with patients. Having to sit 2 hours for meds and 45 minutes for urgent medications. Head of therapy is only a nurse, no qualified therapy staff, and don’t bother bringing issues with the director as he throws his hands in the air and gets aggressive. This will be taken further to ahpra.

Do not even bother. Having a loved one in hospital there and the things I hear I feel sick.
BULLYING, NOT WORKING TO THE NURSING STANDARDS ALONGSIDE AHPRA.
It is truly disgusting. Nurses don’t even know simple medication (e.g antihistamine), shortage of staff, staff also stealing patients things.

Please, this hospital is meant for those who are struggling with mental health, it only makes it WORSE! This will be going higher up, all nurses to be made accountable as well as the awful receptionists and management at Essendon Private. Absolutely DISGUSTING.

This Hospital is a 'Breath of Fresh Air' compared to the other Hospitals, where I have previously been an inpatient.
The demographic of most patients is friendly, supportive and relaxing.

The Admin, Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Catering, Cleaning etc are all amazing. Managers etc, actually communicate directly with the patients on a regular basis.
The Treatment and Therapy team, Physio and Yoga get better all the time and are actually qualified in their associated rolls.
Thank you.

Can't recommend this place enough. I was hesitant at first, daunted by the prospect of staying in a facility. But let me assure you, this is a calm, quiet, safe space. How do I put this - the people are.well - normal, friendly, supportive. A lovely courtyard, great food, a personal trainer, yoga, gardening. These allowed me to heal. Staff are great. The nurses (a few in particular going above and beyond) helped me see light at the end of my tunnel. Thank you Essendon Private Clinic.

Was informed today of a $220 admission fee by the intake clinician, payable on the day of my admission. No it's not a health fund excess, it's the hospital grabbing a bit of extra money. There was no explanation, just "thats' the way it is".

I email them to book an specialist appointment, they ask me to call a different number. I ask for an email and they ignore me.
I end up calling them and getting the number to the specialist, who I call then tells me to email them.

Seriously!?

2 weeks ago, I would have recommended this hospital as one that is supportive and caring and a great place to get well. However there have been recent changes that have not been in the best interests of patients and are very bureaucratic. It has been disappointing to watch a place designed for healing deteriorate due to politics and bureaucracy and not only would I cut my stay short because of this, I would no longer recommend this hospital to others.
