Essendon Primary School reviews
7 Childern from Hindu background be careful somehow a cultural bullying has developed in the school.
Some families left the school and couple others watched their childern being singled out by some teachers during last years.
One lady she is not even a teacher may be use to target my innocent boy since prep to year six. We survived.
I like this cause I go here. This is my second-last year being here and I am sure I will miss it. Also, yeet.
I'm Reyziah I've gone to this school (2010-2016) and it changed a lot. The building with the art room, gym, music room, etc was still in construction at the time when I was in prep. All the playgrounds slides, monkey bars, etc were all metal and not plastic like now. There also was no building on the playground. Referring to the other comments I never got bullied much there was just people who annoyed me by being silly. I've had 3 vice principles over the years and they were all nice to me and my sister (at the time of this comment she's still in school). She said everyone is nice to her with hiccups along the way and there's many things to do in the breaks. I didn't get a chance to experience the new buildings (left to high school) but they all look cool.overall like any other school it has its bad sides but I do recommend this school if you are interested.
I believe this is one of the best schools in this area, I say this because the teachers are very kind and creative as well as the principal trying to make the school as fun as possible, as this, I give the school a five star rating.
Best public primary school in the northern suburbs with rich heritage and multiculturalism.
Overall a fantastic school for a government school.
However, the new building is quite terrible (for the grade 5/6s). When you talk everybody else can hear you (keep in mind this is over 100 kids and teachers) so really you can't talk much. Also, new buildings are popping up everywhere and the outside play spaces are getting smaller and smaller. However, we do get to go to Essendon Cricket Ground during lunch which is nice.
The old vice principle (she has left now thank god) was extremely rude and disrespectful. The teachers are very friendly, and most of the students. Some students (mostly the ones who try to be 'popular') are really mean and bully their peers.
Education wise, we learn a lot. We do get the chance to participate in many co curricular activities such as swimming, tournament of minds and the math Olympiad.
The range of learning is also quite atrocious. In our maths class, we learnt trigonometry but in others they were still learning their times tables.
Overall, good, but would wait until the construction of the new buildings are finished.
I used to go that school. I'm Denmar, I left in year 3. I still have contact with someone that was my classmate the whole time I was there, but now, they r obviously not my classmate as I am in a school in Sydney.l I miss all my friends and stuff there That's my real home and this school is not my real!
