Engineers Australia reviews
14 Ridiculous, despite submitting all engineering certificates from universities/ colleges, CE, SS, the assessor of this institute is opinion he/ she is above engineer who is working in Australia. Such a shame. Have some credibility of your own assessor before evaluating others verified credible engineer from other countries and most importantly who is already working in Australia.
They have been dragging the application for centuries now.
At walking distance from Southern Cross. They have good facilities for conferences and workshops.
Great organisation and space for members to have a nice workspace on between CBD meetings if you need it!
EA's membership is very expensive for the service they provide. There are very few educational sessions on fire safety yet it costs hundreds of dollars each year to be a member.
As a qualified Australian Engineer I'd like to say this a very poor organisation. They do absolutely nothing to assist engineers working in the residential and commercial building sectors. Wage growth has been stagnant for years and quality design engineers are difficult to employ and retain as we become overworked and under valued. Eventually most designers turn to project management roles. Their solution has been to hire migrant engineers who take our jobs, reduce our salaries and have us train them to understand Australian design principles. They also have no solutions to clean up the construction industry! Builders often have no respect for designers and often build without prior approval and then seek Engineers certification. Engineers Australia need to play a bigger role in our society and stop hounding us to become Charted. There are many talented engineers who don't need an extra title simply to drive their Egos.
I have reported a couple of members to this organisation for obvious malpractice. Even though one of the members provided a letter which he admitted later that he was not qualified to provide, the body dismissed the complaint. If I had not caught him out, my foundations would have been certified based on an incorrect letter. It's obvious where this body gets its funding from!
Absolutely terrible website and very unresponsive to client concerns. Very slow and unapologetic for slowness.
Great place to attend conventions symposiums seminars and all sort of engineering related conferences. I have been here a few times and have attended few conventions and I have to say that these conventions were very informative the speakers from all over the world came with their experience and shared their valuable knowledge with students and professionals in the field of engineering.
If you're a member this is a great place to go in the city between meetings to do some work or have a coffee or just to take in the 31st floor views. You can also hire meeting rooms if you want to do some business or presentation.
Run some very educational seminars and talks. Enjoyed the Girls in STEM presentation last night. Many thanks!
Beautiful offices, located on the 30-31st floors.stunning views to the ocean and 360 view of Melbourne.
Heads up for any student members of Engineers Australia: if you're looking for a quite place to hit the books, this is a great location. Sick of looking for a seat at the library? Or an empty tute room? Find yourself a seat on the 30th floor overlooking Melbourne's northern suburbs. The tables are well placed within arms reach of the coffee machine and the internet is flowing.
Some great facilities for members including coffee, biscuits and Wi-Fi. The view is amazing from the 31st floor!
For members the facilities here are very useful with open working spaces and kitchen facilities.
For the public, the facilities for hire are reasonably priced and good quality. Well worth considering for small events.
