Empire Dining reviews
17Not Good Enough, I will not go into specifics as I believe the owners will be aware and will make the changes that are needed with haste. One positive from our night was Suzie the wonderful floor manager who saved the day with positive professional service to my guests.
My visit to Empire Dining was less than satisfactory. The staff was impolite and inattentive, the food seemed overpriced, and on a scorching 35-degree day, the lack of a working cooler made the dining experience uncomfortable. It's not an ideal spot for those seeking a pleasant and comfortable dining atmosphere.
This is a wonderful addition to the dining scene in Bright. Great for small or larger groups and the decor is uber cool. A must visit when in Bright.
Vibe 10/10. Service 10/10. Kids meals 10/10. Only disappointment was the meals were like warm and the portions were too small even for fine dining
We were really looking forward to trying Empire Dining but were sadly all very disappointed. Staff were friendly and the setting was very nice but the food was ordinary (not of restaurant standard) and it was almost a disgraceful 30 minutes between serving the main courses for our group of only 5. Not good enough at all. I am quite happy to provide details if the owners are interested.
Great place, music and vibe good. Really good food esp the mushroom and polenta! Super lovely staff. We went back a second night because we had such a nice time. Highly recommend!
Worst experience in a long time. Booked a table and our family was put outside on benches without heating in 5deg. Steaks were terrible and over priced.
Wow what a experience first time attend this restaurant, welcome by a top bloke called Jake very welcoming will definitely tell our family n friends n will definitely be coming back to this restaurant
Excellent food, all the staff were really friendly and helpful, nice outside area for dinner, and moved inside to the comfy chairs for dessert and cocktails. Really lovely, will definitely be back the next time we're in Bright.
Wow! Really fantastic food. Thoroughly enjoyed every single share plate. We had three of the larger plates (steak, belly pork and trout) and two of the smaller ones (broccolini and cauliflower) and they were all great. Will definitely come back next time we are in Bright.
Fantastic way to see the New year out. Our table had lots of fun dancing. Great service, food and cocktails. All the best for 2023. Thanks Linda
Menu is promising but doesn't deliver. Duck salad needs to be removed from the menu. Agree with more detailed previous reviewer; DaveLovesJazz
Disappointing. We booked the main restaurant after having an evening in the Whiskey Bar, which was very pleasant, where we shared a few small plates. The main restaurant experience was something else however where we ordered more substantial meals, consisting of a Duck salad and a Pork Belly dish. Keeping in mind that these were over $30 each and supposed to be shared dishes, there was only one rasher of pork belly, which was mostly fat - not enough for one person let alone being something you could share! The Duck salad was just awful - a minced bucket high pile that was overwhelming in acidic flavours with both hot and cold pieces of duck mixed in, telling me that I was eating a combination of early and later cooked portions - not great and couldn't eat it anymore after a few mouthfuls. When brought to the attention of the waiting staff, nothing was done about it. No offer of another dish or discount on the poor quality food being served so we left and won't be returning - we cannot recommend this restaurant for the overpriced and poor quality on offer - keep to the smaller plates and perhaps just go for the atmosphere and a drink but avoid the beer on tap, it was flat!
What a amazing venue…. Food was next level! Love the share plates, the staff were great and the ambiance was right on
If you are looking for a dining experience, this is your place. Food was amazing. Atmosphere is sophisticated whilst being super relaxed. Staff/service was brilliant
Delicious, if you’re craving something other than pub food. Cauliflower was a yummy starter!
The best dining experience Bright (and beyond) has to offer. The lovingly and thoughtfully renovated building make for a welcoming and wonderful dining atmosphere. There are also some cozy nooks to relax in if you prefer a quiet drink, not to mention the beautiful whiskey bar attached (William Walker & Co). Interesting wine list with something different on offer. Same goes for the cocktail list, with something to suit every taste. Food is perfection.
