If I could give less stars - I would. While they offer a wide range of delicious cakes etc.they are over priced, they don't put prices on all of their stock (so the cashier can make up a random price for each customer - ie the 2 apple cakes I purchased) and if you pay on a credit card the customer is charged a "surcharge" which the cashier doesn't tell you about. I requested a receipt but it was not itemized which is illegal. I will never return to this bakery again. Outrageous prices!

A great attraction for tourists but pretty ordinary if you’re from the area. It’s undergone some changes over the last few years and I feel customers have lost out quite a bit. It was always expensive, but the quality was there. Everything is now pre-made and prepackaged (including hot food) and some things don’t seem as nice as they once were. Recently I grabbed 6 falafel balls, a small garlic bread stick and a single cinnamon donut and it cost me $28 somehow.

They’ve also shifted around the store layout making it feel even more confusing and hectic during peak times. The staff are not as welcoming and friendly as they used to be either. Everyone just seems so grumpy. They still do a good coffee luckily.

One of my FAVOURITE cafes in Victoria. Nestled among the Dandenong ranges beautiful vistas and quaint towns, this cafe brings a sense of community to all who enter. A lively haven of baked goods, ready to go meals and delectable coffee is what you'll find. Open in the wee hours of the morning for the tradies to get their coffee fix on the way to work till the late afternoon where parents can pick up a treat for their kids after school. Their skilled team know how to make you feel welcomed and are all about great customer service. Their baristas have mastered their trade and present each drink with pride to their valued customers. This is a must visit if you plan on a cute day trip for some boutique shopping, slow windy road driving or just a retreat to the wild forests of the ranges.

Not worth the visit anymore. Most of the food is now pre-packaged in plastic and isn't hot. Very overpriced to trap tourists and prices are not listed anywhere.
I recommend going further down the road to Cockatoo bakery which is actually locally owned, good quality, and great value.

Edit: visited again and bought a schnitzel roll for $14, it had horrible, cheap quality meat and had a huge chunk of gristle in it and barely any salad. I ended up feeding it to my dog. I have literally bought the same quality roll for $4 from a truck stop in Tarneit. I strongly recommend people do not buy food here.

You'd think that the only bakery in emerald, mind you they pushed out the other competitor (who was cheaper), could be more consistent.

Food is amazing, but no prices on anything. We bought packaged pasta or rice meals for $50, Rocky Road, packaged scones and jam and a couple of smoothies. Worth the trip. Good service, friendly people.

Have been multiple times. Most times I have had a good service, but last time, on Easter Monday when they were busy, the person serving didn't have great customer skills, very stress and mean, not only to me but other customers as well.

Love there sandwiches/rolls and sweets want to try them all so many varieties to choose from there pies are lovely but unfortually a lot of there hot food are just soaked in fat/oily which is a shame as more people are health conscious now a days just look out
coffee is great you'll enjoy having a bite to eat there other than some of there hot food nice sitting outside

Generally it's not bad. I do agree with most people not having prices is annoying and you do feel like you are being a bother if you try to ask someone. I got a roast vegetable wrap today lol it was just like pastie filling wrapped up which was super weird so it's a negative for that.

Lovely staff, a massive selection of baked goods and deserts. It's a clean, and friendly environment. You feel like you have arrived in your Nana's Kitchen.

An interesting bakery, filled to the brim with bakery goods, prepared meals, sandwiches. Also many packs of biscuits, cakes etc to take home. We had a pie which was delicious and very filling. A nice drive and a very nice little village just near puffing Billy.
