Eltham Ridge Medical Centre reviews
77Hey, are new people allowed to come in and get seen by a doctor? Ive never seen a doctor here but I've been in with my little sister before if i have to fill out a form I will if you could please respond as soon as you can would be great.
Rude and unprofessional receptionist & definitely poor management, shame on all of them
The manager need to teach their receptionists some manners, if they expect the ppl to respect them well they need to be respectful first
Shockingly bad! Literally 2 minutes appointment with no explanations whatsoever. Was given a course of antibiotics for what turns out to be a viral infection. So basically wrong diagnosis which is not surprising given the speed of the consultation. The antibiotics were for my son who I later found out should have been weighted to give proper dosage. Basically everything was wrong. Don't risk it, not worth it.
Dr Abraham is fantastic at what he does, also his welcoming nature, helping attitude and big smile always makes us feel great. Thank you Dr Haydari Abraham!
Dr abraham heydari is the most caring, experienced and compassionate doctor I've ever dealt with.
Also, reception staff are polite & professional.
Highly recommended.
14 emails to assure management that someone I supported does, indeed, have a Health Care Card has really turned me off this practice. The threats to pursue someone socially isolated and vulnerable aren't appreciated, either.
It's simple, if you change your policies re bulk billing, ask the person for their card when they next attend, or don't chase them up months later.
I would have chosen 0 stars if it wasn't for the nice doctors and nurses. If you're a fan of Faulty Towers there is one specific receptionist that makes Basil Faulty seem like Gandhi. Wonderfully rude and disconnected from emotion and possibly humanity. It was exciting in a deranged way to see and hear (as did every other waiting patient) a poor nurse getting berated by this receptionist. If you dispise your career so much find another one. Like the big screen! Cinematic acting etc. Maybe a roll as a intergalatic gangster that has a penchant for frozen carbinite and enslaves a princess named Leia.
What a horrible patient experience.
The staff personnel are all so rude and useless. They were supposed to email me my docs, they forgot.
It’s very unfortunate that I had to contact them only because the specific GP I wanted, happens to work in this clinic.
Such a shame for Eltham area.
We had an appointment time and we were on time. This medical centre was not busy but we had to wait around 50 minutes.
Poor time management from receptions
I needed a blood test to confirm that I am pregnant. When the test came back positive, I asked for a referral to the Mercy Womens hospital in Heidelberg. The Doctor didn't know what the Mercy was, and said he had never heard of this hospital before. He then refused to write a referral, and told me to do another test in 2 weeks to make sure I am "still pregnant. "
Guess what, 2 weeks have passed and I'm still pregnant, and now seeing another doctor to get the referral I need.
I suspect these "doctors" are not fully qualified or lisenced to practice medicine. I believe this is why they refuse to write referrals.
Do not waste your time here.
Everytime I have been to The Ridge I have had great GPs. They are busy but seem to have time and I never feel rushed. They work extended hours and weekends so are always available when I need them Really Great Clinic
Went in after suffering an anaphylactic episode for the first time (didn’t know what was happening). Doctor gave me a Zyrtec and told me to just sit and wait for it to go down and then left the room leaving me alone with a receptionist. My mum came to get me and took me straight to the hospital and I ended up staying there for 2 days. Utterly incompetent service that could have cost me my life. A doctor should be able to identify the signs of anaphylaxis instantly.
Impossible to get an appointment then when you do it’s over an hour wait with only three patients in waiting area for a one year old child appointment.
Absolute contempt for patients and they do not care.
Sadly I had a negative experience here today. The Dr.was less than friendly or helpful and to be honest, I felt disempowered to take positive steps to prevent further future issues with my back. I asked for a referral to get my back looked at. He refused. I don't know how you can take charge of your own health if you're denied access to the support you need at reasonable prices. I have had two separate physiotherapist tell me I have a serious back issue. As a result of his attitude I cut the consult short and left. I will be seeking a friendlier more helpful service next time.
I have been going here since I was a kid seeing as its my local gp, and I am not really happy with my experience last time I visited, I forget the Drs name but I confided in her and asked her for advice and her help, and she sat there being rude to me, judging me and rushing me, she barely even listened to what I was saying, and I definitely did not appreciate it one bit. This is not how any gp should make their patient feel. It was ridiculous, I had to book another appointment at a different gp in reservoir so I could actually get the help I needed from someone, thankfully this one knew how to treat and handle a patient… Oh and I also made an appointment, I came 10 mins early and I still waited almost an hour passed the time I had booked in.
I have been seeing Dr Moon for many years and find her to be very thorough and usually on time. I also like the extended hours and Bulk Billing.
Do not rely on dr minty as you will end up in hospital because he isn't thorough enough. I needed oxygen and he sent me home with anti biotics that didn't work. I really question where'you got your qualifications from Mr minty.
I’ve tried to book a few Telehealth appointments here and it has been very difficult. On multiple occasions they haven’t called me or I’ve had to wait over 2 hours after the booked time to receive a call. The telephone line is also always busy and the staff are not very polite. Nevertheless, all the docotrs are great once you get through to them.
Amazing service. Called in with a fever/infection and was taken in despite the late hour. Doctor and staff were professional, caring and excellent.
The quality of doctors are terrible. Dr Minty is the worse with his condescending attitude and questionable medical expertise. The full time doctors are not interested in taking on patients that requires ongoing attention as they are not interested in providing continuous medical care including prescribing medication and writing referrals, even as an existing patient. They are unprofessional and the lack of duty of care is appalling.
The reception staff tries to be helpful and are always nice however their hands are tied.
Only useful thing is that they are open late if you require low to medium medical attention, not serious though as they are incapable of providing this.
