Elphinstone Hotel

When you walk in to a small country town pub you don't expect to be served the best dam Margarita you've ever had.this place is just full of pleasant surprises and well worth a visit.

Great food around our stay in Redbank. My wife said it was the best basa fish, ships and salad she ever had! Staff is lovely!

Food was poor, seemed to be mostly frozen stuff that was reheated. Doesn’t justify the hype or the price tag

Nice cosy pub with two inviting fireplaces. Very efficient and friendly staff, especially The Indian lady at the front of house and bar. The Indian food we’ve sampled so far has been delicious and nicely balanced. The other items on the menu that we’ve tried so far have been up to standard and tasty. Definitely worth a visit to support this local business.

Cold beer is the only good thing at this pub. $15 dollars for a chicko roll cut into 4 bits and that was a marathon spring roll u could from ampol for $4. Tried another 3 starters/entrees. Was uneatable without sauce.

We had a fun outdoor dining experience with our dog in the rear courtyard. Impressive food, considering the relatively remote location. Thanks to the staff for such a warm welcome?

Wow, what a wonderful country Pub. Amazing atmosphere with Amazing locally sorted food. Food was fresh and very tasty. Host's very friendly and very welcoming. Beer was freezing cold and the cocktail was amazing. Will definitely recommend and will be attending the elphinstone Hotel again sometime soon.

Great meals with fantastic service in a lovely old pub with charm and character. Situated on the old Calder hwy, a great ride in light traffic.

Good food, friendly staff, and good range of drinks. Plenty of space inside and outside. Easy parking.

Our sons recommended we come last Sunday - my Roast Lamb was almost cold with raw broccolini so I wasn’t impressed. The hotel was freezing cold, no heating so not inviting at all. I was disappointed as I had been recommended.

Great food, but very highly priced, three share plates, two desserts, three soft drinks, and one spirit, $142

A disappointing evening. It was a miserable wet night - pre-booked, rocked up - fire in dining room was attempting to light but died soon after. Heating was not switched on. We ordered a bottle of their featured wine - they only had two glasses left. Decor and Acoustics in Dining Room are terrible. Ordered the Thai Red Curry - out came a Seafood Curry.

Had lunch today, food was delicious, and lots of variety on the menu, had a couple of small plates (which werent small) couldnt finish them, the scallops and crispy pork were yum, will be going back again.

This place is fantastic! Food is delicious. Staff know their stuff. It's so nice to go somewhere that's good quality, not pretentious, just casually awesome. We had a great time!

Nice quite pub, small town off the highway. Friendly staff, great service meals looked great, no one complained, must of been alright. Add just salads to the menu, thai salad, caesar, garden salad, some people just want a simple meal, nothing fancy.
