Eldridge Estate of Red Hill reviews
29We stayed for a girl’s weekend and loved it! The accommodation is beautiful inside and out, and with your own personal cellar door, capped off a weekend getaway in this ace part of Victoria. Love the wines.put a stay or visit on your must do list when next in Red Hill!
Unplanned drop in
Beautiful small establishment high on hill overlooking valley & vineyard.
Enjoyed generous cheese platter & pinot
Gorgeous French host was very helpful, happy & inviting…
Stayed at their wonderful property overlooking the vines. Their Pinot Noir is very drinkable and will be keeping an eye out for their Gamay when it's bottled. A lovely and knowledgeable team.
Stunning winery…. Wine is superb… staff super knowledgeable and the platters and amazing. Highly recommend
One of the absolute best cellar door experiences on the Mornington Peninsula If you love the views and customer care of Ten Minutes by Tractor, Foxeys Hangout, Port Phillip Estate & Yabby Lake or the more intimate experience of Yal Yal the Eldridge Estate will be your next fave spot. Incredible wine and amazing hosts make for the perfect afternoon. Oh, and those views! Second to none.
Wonderful views whilst sampling some fine chardonnay and Pinot noir. Thank you to Vicki and Elli for your warm
Hospitality. We’ll be back for sure!
Good on you Dave, we visited a year ago and just find out about the news on the latest Halliday magazine, very sad to hear but all the best mate!
Tastings by appointment only. We were lucky enough that when we arrived the owner was around to go through the wine tasting with us. Excellent wines, loved both Chardonnays and the Pinot Noir. This cellar door is definitely for wine lovers!
Had a lovely tasting on the deck at this serene little cellar door with a gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside. David walked us through his wonderful selection of unique wines at a leisurely pace. So glad we stopped by!
David kindly fit us in for a tasting before he headed off for his Christmas celebrations. We were so lucky he did. As the owner and wine maker, he is obviously extremely knowledgeable about the production process and the wine, but he was also extremely generous with his time and had many stories to share.
We bought a few bottles and then he kindly gifted us some of the ones that he had opened for tastings to take with us. Later that day, I received an email from David explaining the Sparkling I had purchased which we didn't get time to discuss. Over and above!
The grounds at Eldridge are absolutely divine and so are the wines. We will be ordering online and going back to visit next time we are in town.
The highest of recommendations from me!
Stopped by on Saturday during a quiet period. Cute little cellar door amongst all the vines. We had the lovely Christie take us through the wines and she was fantastic and informative. Defs recommend trying the MV6 Pinot. Christie also gave us a great list of recommendations for the region.
Can't fault the place. My partner and I had an amazing time tasting David's wines.
We were looked after by Sara that beside showcasing the wines gave us a nice insight of the winemaking process and history of the winery. It was a lot of fun and we felt really welcomed.
Beautiful views, peaceful tasting area, all 6 wines were top notch. Out of 8 recent visits to Peninsula wineries, this was voted by all four of us as the best.
What a wonderful little winery!
After a trip to Red Hill we were greeted by a very busy David who had just begun harvest for the season.
Needless to say, his hospitality and accommodating nature ensured that we enjoyed our wine tasting, and an enjoyable glass of Pinot Noir on the deck overlooking the beautiful serene vineyards.
David was more than happy to chat, telling us about the varieties that Eldridge Estate grows on the property, and the different notes of the wines.
It was the perfect way to enjoy the beginning of a girls long weekend away.
Thank you David, and the team at Eldridge Estate for an enjoyable afternoon. We are so glad we had the experience!
Had a great visit there over Xmas. Beautiful setting, gorgeous wines and Tracey looked after us extremely well. Highly recommended.
Don’t be scared by the few negative reviews. Other wineries in the area recommended their Gamay so we had to visit. Just had a great tasting with Peter. Very knowledgeable and the wine was amazing. Well worth the visit (and only $5 tasting pp!)
Had a very informative tasting with Tracey. She was very knowledgeable about the estate’s wines and made us feel very welcome. All wines were really good. A lovely setting on an elevated deck overlooking the vineyard. Next visit my husband and I will bring a platter to enjoy with our wine!
Rude, disrespectful service! Not acknowledged when we walked in, ignored whilst the man 'serving' behind the counter tidied up & completely ignored us! When he eventually greeted us after 10 minutes, we were about to order when he then proceeded to take an order from another customer before attending to us As we were leaving, we got a 'be with you shortly' - too little, too late! Extremely poor customer service, we definitely won't return.highly disappointing as the verandah & view looked beautiful to enjoy a glass of wine.
Very rude lady providing tasting. Overpriced for groups of 6+. An extremely unsatisfying experience. Avoid.
Lovely views, good wines & friendly staff. Very accommodating even though we had a large group with a few kids, even let us charge the EV. Will be back for a few more wines.
