Elancé Adult Ballet School

From the moment I stepped through the doors (so many years ago) I have had nothing but support, encouragement and of course! That reassuring, firm guidance that ballet
requires.

I know that much care is taken at Elance to ensure we can dance safely and do what we love for as long as we can!

The Elance team all have lives, families, pets! & hobbies just like the rest of us which means
each brings a unique aspect to every class.
I am privileged to
be able to learn from these wonderful human beings.

Elance is a remarkable community of teachers and student alike. I have danced at Elance for over 10 years and credit this special "second home" for introducing me to lifelong friends, being a safe place to be myself and constantly learning (even after 30+ years of ballet). The teachers are so talented in how they convey technique and put insane amounts of effort into curating and choreographing each class. I thank my lucky stars that I had the courage to go to that first class; only to find my happy place.

Elancé has helped me reunite with ballet after 30 years and rekindle a love for dance that I thought was lost. The thoughtfully designed classes have helped me improve my fitness, flexibility, strength and technique. The teachers at Elancé genuinely care about each student, their progress, and well-being, so that you are not just a number, but a part of the family. Aside from the caring teachers, there are the friendly and supportive students that make up the community, creating an environment that is safe, warm and inviting.

Elancé is a place where you’re celebrated as an individual. Its safe and welcoming environment encourages dancers of all levels to explore their creativity, artistry and musicality at their own pace. The teachers are not only knowledgeable in technique, they passionately guide students through their ballet journey with utmost care.

The structured program lends an air of certainty to students who may have no idea what to expect from ballet. It gives students a rock solid foundation in ballet vocabulary. As the students progress through the levels, the complexity and intensity of steps would be increased to keep us sufficiently-challenged.

Elancé is my safe space. It’s my home. Each time I place my hand at the barre, I’m filled with gratitude and joy that I can explore this marvellous art form.

I love my classes at Elance, they are the highlight of my week after a busy day there is nothing better than a ballet class to take you to a happy place, washing the stress of the day away.
As an added bonus it is a great workout!
