We are so grateful for the assistance provided by Stephen and Liam at Edwards in supplying the right materials and advice in completing our DIY path. We wanted a cobblestone path but were finding these very difficult to source from local paving suppliers, where the materials were mostly large ugly modern slabs that wouldn't have suited the veneer of our old house. And definitely a lot of places were not interested in spending time helping household DIY'ers to make up their mind. So in the first week of January we drove quite a way South to check out Edwards but noticed it looked closed (of course) - no matter - Stephen appeared and invited us in to look around the outdoor showroom despite being on holiday and in the middle of his lunch. He asked what sort of thing we were looking for and had exactly what we wanted, on display in the front office. Stephen is a genuinely good guy who went above customer service and treated us like people he was keen to know that our home project would go well. No customer too small. He imparted a lot of good advice and by the next day we had settled on an order of multicoloured cobblestones for an excellent price. Liam then promptly completed the delivery arrangements in a friendly and efficient manner. We are now the proud builders/owners of a beautiful cobblestone path that people say looks like a professional job. (Once we tidy up the surrounding yard we will update this review with a photo!) I visited today to purchase a small quantity of slate pavers (only 6 of them 600x400mm) for a home made hearth to go under a woodheater inside a new outdoor entertaining area. Steven knows his stuff - not only did he recommend a good adhesive, but also a quality grout plus a good and durable coating to go on top. And all for a very reasonable price. And I could hand choose the slate pavers! Great service, and advice. Happy to recommend.

Visited Edwards today. Val in the office was charming and the forklift driver (sorry I've forgotten his name) was outstanding. Friendly, efficient and even gave us a movie recommendation. All that and a VERY pleasant surprise at the low cost of the slate we bought.

Bloody happy with the service. I bought the small bluestone stepping stones, about 10 of them for $20 each. They looked exceptional in my faux Japanese garden. However, I went back for more, but they were temporarily sold out, but while I was there, I noticed some other, slate stepping stones. These were smaller to fit my space better, and more irregular and mottled, which I prefer to the sleek bluestone, and they were cheaper at $10. So, I asked the boss whether I could swap them over, 2 for 1, and with great goodwill, he did. It helped that I had had good, cordial, conversations with the boss and his son the previous 2 occasions I'd been in to check out the stones, but it also goes to show that good customer relations go a long way, and are worth more in the long run than a dollar, and I've gone out of my way to write a glowing review, and I hope it makes a difference. Well done fellas!
