Edithvale Wetlands Bird Hide reviews
7Please ignore my previous post about the closed all abilities hide. Turns out that it's operated by Melbourne Water. Edithvale bird hide is fabulous! Very helpful volunteers available to provide information
Just wondering why the large the large, newer hide with the all abilities ramp is not open when the sign by the road indicates that it should be? (Sunday afternoon)
Big wetland with black swans.breeding place.education center. Visit on 2nd or 4th Sundays of month between 1pm to 4 pm. SEPT onwards is best season to see some migratory birds. Swams are in big numbers. You can enjoy their graceful behavior.
Purple Swamphens are also found in numbers. Ducks are plenty.
Fantastic insight to the increible fauna that reside here and the importance of the land itself on a national level
Beautiful spot for migrating birds. Public Bird hide always available. No other facilities.
Such a beautiful place in the middle of the suburbs. A very nice escape with fresh air.
