Good food and drinks. Good customer service.welcoming staffs with smiles. One of the best chilli scrambled eggs I have ever had.

The menu has had a freshen up here with lots of new items although I had an old favourite today the Chilli scramble with mushrooms and it was absolutely amazing. The scramble was not overly oily or wet and were fluffy, mushrooms cooked perfectly and served at perfect temperature. The garnishes had been slightly dry roasted and enhanced the flavours, Chilli was spicy without being too hot or over powering. My partner had the Calamari and they were crispy and soft. Coffee here is great A+ and service is excellent. 5 stars

They’re the best thing happened in our neighbourhood! Lovely staff. Coffee is amazing. The owner is super nice and inviting and food is banging. I do have coffee at home, but love to have at least one from them. Their cheery personality makes up your day. My boys also love this place.

The worst kept secret in Edithvale - very popular. A great place for coffee, breakfast or to pick up things you forgot at the supermarket. Friendly staff will look after you.

Most cafes / shops are up on Nepean Highway so fantastic to have such a great store deeper into to the residential areas of Edithvale. Great place.

The best local you could ask for. Food and drinks always great, but by far the standout is the the staff. Wonderful bunch of people.

So disappointing.
When this place first opened they were awesome. Used to get takeaway all the time.
The last 2 times we have ordered, 6 months apart, they have been dreadful, they just don’t care. Chips taste microwaved without a single grain of salt and the burgers, both chicken and beef are horrendous.
It’s such a shame as the general store used to care. I’m assuming business is going so good they don’t even try anymore.

General store is our local cafe. We used to love coming here as it had a great variety of vegan meals and options. The menu has changed recently and there is now hardly any vegan options left. Even things that could previously have been made vegan have disappeared. Really disappointing. Still great for coffee and a fun vibe. Ut just won't be stopping for lunches any more: (

Staff are always friendly and coffee is consistently great. Best in the area by a country mile.

5/5 for the coffee, food and service! Best in the area, hands down. The lockdown takeaway food is really well done aswell - the breakfast burger is exceptional! 2 rashers of bacon, 2 fried eggs, cheese and some super delicious relish and Mayo… yes please!

Unfortunately we are leaving a 2 star review. Not out of nastiness in any way but maybe more constructive criticism for the chef in the hope this won’t happen again. Tonight we ordered the plant based burgers and chips. This is the 3rd time we have ordered these burgers from here. It looks great, has everything on the burger it should have, salad and sauce on a nice roll and good chips. Great! However all 3 times the actual burger itself has been stone cold and raw! Maybe the chef is not a veggie or vegan and are unsure how they should be cooked but they need cooked thoroughly through and should be piping hot. Just as a meat burger would be cooked. All 3 times the burgers have been cold and raw inside.
Tonight we both noticed a really weird smell from the burgers before we actually took a bite. They appeared burnt black on the outside so thought maybe that was the cause of the smell. Then once we ate into them both the burgers were raw on the inside and seem to taste and smell VERY out of date. They smell and taste rotten. Having been a veggie for over 20 years we have had many a plant based burger and know when something is not right. Sorry to leave a negative review guys… we SO wanted to like this place but unfortunately we will not be back.

My second time visiting with a friend and it's always a lovely experience. Our wait staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being TOO attentive. The food was tasty and we got a delicious hot chocolate to go on our way out. I hope to be back again soon!

I ordered the Edi General Store burger for delivery (lockdown at the mo). It was really generous, fresh, and deliciously tasty. When you're in the mood for a real burger (not Maccas etc) this is it. I also had their bread 'n butter pudding with custard.sooo good.

I can't commend Edithvale general store enough for ensuring my daughter got the best birthday platter ever delivered to her door during the recent lockdown at the time specified and I even got a photo of what I ordered. Such friendly, understanding and helpful customer service with high quality products. Thank you so much for making a
mother and daughter so happy during difficult lockdown times.

The food here is some of the most wholesome food I've eaten. I never knew a meal could be so refreshing! Definitely coming back here

Had a really nice lunch with friends today. Three food tasted lovely and fresh and the staff were friendly and helpful. Sorry i didn't take any food pics to share.

I had heard a lot about this place from my friends. Finally we sat for lunch on Tuesday. We were welcomed with smiles by the friendly staffs. The food did not disappointed me at all. What a food. I liked the quality of food (in a generous amount as well) with such an affordable price. The chilli scrambled eggs was one of the best I have ever had, my friends liked the coconut chia pudding (with awesome decoration) and healthy breakfast greens bowls.we will be still visiting this place. Great job guys.

I've found that the Edithvale General Store offers me everything I need, convenience, fantastic friendly staff, fabulous FRESH food prepared on the premises, delicious coffee me exactly to my taste, easy parking, and great areas both inside and out to catch up with friends or just chill out on my pat with my laptop

Coffee was great, ordered chilli scrambled eggs, not bad, but bcoz' it is chilli scrambled eggs, supposed to be bit of chilli i guess, i found something sweet in the food, and also was over-runny, don't know if you always serve like this but eggs were real wet, i don't always do rate and review but, anyway, environment was pretty good and friendly staff
