Edithvale Fish & Chips

Order delayed as they lost the ticket and don't seem to work on more than one order at a time. Staff unapologetic saying "its still cooking" (when it wasn't started). Hamburger was OK. One grilled flake was on the hotplate the whole 45 minutes we waited for the order, thought surely they won't serve me that. Busy talking and forgot to check but realised when I opened it at the beach that I had got that dry tiny piece. The second one was a fresh piece, although it was small (for the price) it at least tasted half alright. Won't rush back.

Food was way too greasy, as soon as I bit down into my food oil filled in my mouth not a clean store, took way too long.

Potato cakes are the best

Worst fish and chips I have ever had, so oily and soggy, chips had this yellow colour on them. Would never buy from this pace again

Usually the nicest fish and chips just got them now fish not cooked or chips properly. Definitely not the best I have had from there before. Very disappointed.

Average - literally no salt on our entire order (even when we asked for chicken). Potato cake soggy. Fish was nice.

Good fish and chips and good service, our family eats there nearly every weekend, chips are always nice and crunchy.

I don't mind traveling out to a fishnchips shop to pay for Good quality food. Edithvale fish & chips Is the BEST TASTING, FRESH, WELL SEASONED BATTERED KING PRAWS, SNAPPERS SCALLOPS. AMAZING FISH BURGERS. They are by far the best around. You have to try them.won't be disappointed!

A good, solid, traditional family owned fish and chip shop close to the beach. Home made potato cakes, real calamari rings, and thick, juicy fried flake that stayed crisp to the last bite (eventhough I was a bit late collecting my order). Friendly service with smiling faces compensated for the simple shop interior. Will go again.

Such a lovely lady working here. My daughter wanted Fish and Chips and it was only 11am.
She happily made it for her. The food was nice and customer service was wonderful. Thank you.

This is the best Fish and Chips in the area and I've tried them all, the staff are so friendly and the Fish is always so fresh, they offer great value Seafood packs, I enjoyed the Fresh Flake and chips 2 days ago so much, I'm going back today.

Great place to follow the Aussie summer tradition of getting Fish and Chips to eat on the beach.

Order short and wrong. Asked for potato cakes and got some fish cakes instead. Fish cakes are awful things filled with what looks like cat food.that even our neighbour's hungry dog won't eat. Well under on the chips, for 7 bux worth. Soggy yellow chips. So much to write but busy distracting the neighbour so they don't find out I almost killed their dog with this awful stuff.

7 years ago I voted for Edithvale Fish and Chips as the best in Melbourne and went there at least once a week,
New owners now and it is terrible. Service or should I say lack of service leaves a lot to be desired. Serving sizes have shrunk. WORST of all they charge a surcharge on everything cash and card. I live in Edithvale and sorry to say do not go there it will give our town a bad name. Oh I wish for the good old days of great fish and chips in Edithvale.

Please do not bother with this place! They forgot some of our items and the portion size of large chips barely covered the bottom of the cardboard box. Supposed to be a family meal together, had to go back to pick up what they left out. Despite calling before I left a second time there was still hesitation to fix the order and frustratingly I had to explain all again. To top it off.found a large bone in my cold fish! Terrible service, do not use them.
