Edinburgh gardens is a very, very busy and vibrant place. It's great for large group catchups and picnics, but has its limitations. You can't count on tables and it can be hard to watch on kids when the playground is packed. It's likely to be noisy such as from people bringing music. So don't plan for quiet family time here. You'll also need to expect the usual entitlement from dog owners who will let their animals freely get into your food.

A big playground that is fenced in. Has four slides and two normal swings and two toddler swings. Has a seasaw, a spiner which four people can sit on, two wheels you can spin, a clock face you can also spin. Spiderweb you can climb on. In the play there is a barbecue with two hot plates. Outside the fence is lots of grass area good for dogs and kids to play on and to have picnics on. Also a Sporting felid you can play football or soccer on.

Park turned doof of weekends. Ice the beers, cool the vegan cheese and keep those olives plumpy. Take a scroll through leafy Edinburgh gardens on a lovely summers weekend and you're bound to bump into someone you wish you hadn't. The various portaloos are a great place to catch COVID if you're looking for a convenient infection time.

Good gender neutral toilets, lots of shade, lots of free parking. Easy to reach by public transport even on a public holiday.

It's a great park to visit. You can have a drink or two, plenty of dogs, happy gatherings, BBQs, playgrounds, basketball courts and more. They've added more toilets too which is a definite bonus.

Plenty of shops around, great coffee, food, a tram stop, easy access to Brunswick or Northcote.

Can't go wrong!

Great park to meet up with mates - just avoid the roving bands of slackliners and hackey sackers

One of the best parks in Melbourne. The only negatives are quality of toilets and the council's inability to empty the bins regularly.

Such a nice, quiet yet big garden that has excellent facilities onsite. There’s a skateboard ramp, basketball courts, kids playground, public toilets, plenty of bins around and park benches. Free parking along St George Rd. Maybe lacking a bit of some flowers display, but I’m being nitpicky here. Excellent location also, close by to a library, tram stops and restaurant/cafes.

Lush, green and verdant, a fantastic place to soothe jangled nerves. Had a beautiful reunion with my father and sister there, watching the petanque players in the early summer twilight. Highly recommended. If thrips bother you, take the Aerogard.

Nice to get out of the house finally. Great area to relax for a picnic but maybe the bins could be emptied a little more regularly.

Beautiful park with lots of shade, a couple different playground areas. There was even a tightrope and a volleyball net set up today.
It was very busy today but still plenty of room for everyone.

Huge open gardens, with so much space it's easy to distance yourself from other groups even on popular days. Plenty of street parking, or catch the number 11 tram.

This is the park my dog dreams about daily. She could walk here blindfolded that's how much of a fan she is of this wonderful place. If it was up to her it would be 12 stars. I agree whole heartily.

Great park, loads of space to have picnics or read a book. Great little community at the dog park, and loads of space for furry friends to run around. A nice playground, a basketball court, what more could you ask for?

Used to skate Fitzroy Bowl over 25 years ago - had no idea until today that this is where it actually is

Can get a bit unruly at times, as it's so big, large groups can tend to dominate. The grounds are old and not pristine. But for a park of this size in this area that's so accessible, there's usually space for everyone.

A beautiful park that offers a bit of everything in the heart of Fitzroy. Popular with all ages and the current Covid hangout for picnics and catch ups. Less about exercise… more about sitting.

Favourite park in Melbs. Dog friendly, massive and has a couple of undercover spots if there’s rain. Locals favs to get picnic stuff, def check out Babajan Eatery, Just Felafs, the Chicken shop and the seafood shack. Plus, Good times does cheap pasta and takeaway cocktails that are strong!
In the pic is Babajan

Always a great place to meet up and so much to offer, wedding photos 23 years ago, engagement party 3 years ago to almost out of lockdown catch up never fails, well kept gardens, great pathways and clean toilets. With plenty of eateries nearby and car parking is achievable.
