Echuca Curry Club reviews
72 Very poor service, Under staffed. Food was average at best. With mains left too long under heat lamps.
Had to ask numerous times time on food. Would not recommend ordering banquets
The dahl was to runny and too much sauce on so many things, servivice was lovely. But think about washing your tablecloths a bit more often.
A tiny portion of Biriyani for the highest price. We were wondering why there wasn’t a single customer in a long weekend when all other restaurants were full. Service is good but not worth for the price you pay. Food isn’t tasty as well. Just avoid and save your money.
I had a delicious food in Echuca. They have quick service with finger licking spicy flavours of north Indian cuisine. Clean, nice melodies, good food. I love it.
We had the best meal. Polite, personable from the moment we walked through the door. Authentic Indian food. And the music different and enjoyable for Winter Blues.
First of all, I need to say that the food at Curry Club is really quite good. We ordered the Goa Fish Curry, Chicken Jalfrezi, Lamb Korma, Palak Paneer, saffron rice and naan (garlic and plain). Everything was delicious.
BUT … (and I hate to say it but) … the service was ABYSMAL.
We had pre-booked a table and we were taken to our table after a short wait. More than ten minutes later, we still hadn’t even seen a menu. We could see the staff were under the pump (it was the weekend of the Echuca Winter Blues Festival after all), but it felt like our table was singled out for special inattention. Is there anything worse than feeling like you are invisible? We prompted and waved and finally, we ordered and waited.
And waited. And waited.
Three other tables (all were seated after our group) received their meals while our bellies rumbled. Again, we flagged one of the wait staff who ROLLED HER EYES before telling us that our meal was on its way.
One hour and ten minutes after our booked time, our meal was delivered to the table.
Again, I have to compliment the kitchen staff as the food was very good.
Ultimately though, the service (lack of) and attitude (in spades) of the staff left a bitter taste that the food just could not compensate for.
We won’t be back.
We arrived with no booking but made welcome and accommodated although the place was already pretty full, food was lovely and tasty.
Highly recommended restaurant.
We have been here a few times and loved it so much that we celebrated our anniversary here. So glad we did! The food was delicious as usual and we felt like we were part of the family!
This place is a must if you are in Echuca!
After being on hold for 20 mins, finally placed an order. Went to pick the order up and they had no record of it.
We dined on the banquet which sampled a good range, there was plenty to eat and we all left feeling well fed. The staff are very attentive and super friendly. As my daughter said on leaving - we will be back
Creamy, thick and tasty palak paneer was nice and butter chicken sauce was delicious, just a little light on the amount of chicken
This was truly the tastiest and most nourishing Indian meal that I've ever had.
The soya chaap was extraordinary, as was the tandoori mushrooms. The wide range of vegetarian options was also a real treat.
We'll be back!
While the atmosphere and the bright smile at the door was welcoming, it seems like it will not turn out to be a memorable experience.
While they had a decent beverage list, the aloo bonda turned out to be an abysmal disappointment. That wad the first time that I witnessed flat flavourless Bonda with hilarious plating.
Then came the biriyani with lamb. Although I could smell the rice as it mate its way to the table, I was sceptical after that weird bonda experience. It took only 1 bite to change my opinion. The biriyani was packed with flavour and I thanked myself for going the spicy rout because it was great!
The biriyani alone would then make me to bump up my rating by 2 stars
I just keep coming back! It’s so great they have to the door delivery and the staff are great! Seriously Since the new owners they just do such a good job! The food is 10/10 and such a big variety of food! I’m going to keep coming back
It is probably the only Indian cuisine in that area. Was wondering if the quality would be compromised as they have no competition. But no, they have great variety and quality food. Highly recommended
Service was good and the food was prepared in about 10 minutes, we did go fairly early and on a weeknight so it wasn't busy. A bit too much coriander in it for our taste, it would be good to have a no coriander option.
I come to Echuca occasionally for work and stumbled across this place. I can honestly say it was the best Indian I’ve had so on my next trip to Echuca this was the first place I came! Can’t recommend highly enough!
Absolutely delicious food and brilliant service. We chose the banquet option and couldn’t actually finish it all.
Very highly recommended!
The food has very good flavour and the staff are nice and friendly. Very good naan breads also.
The butter chicken here is the best I have ever had! This place is amazing I love the food. I travel here from the other side of bendigo just to get it. If you love Indian then you need to come here.
