Eastern Beach public swimming pool reviews
30This place is perfect for families with children. The pool is huge and safe for kids to splash out. The good thing about this area is that if kids don't want to swim, they can play in the playground which have very good and safe equipment. Rest rooms are available and beautiful parks to do a picnic with the family.
It's a free public pool with a lot of free parking space. It's great for kids to swim and play. Take your swim gear with you.
The facilities here are complete and provide parent-child entertainment. Children can swim and adults can have picnics. The public toilets are bright and clean, with shower facilities next to them. They are open from 7 to 10 o'clock.
Lovely day along the foreshore, great to see the pool, kids train and just the entire place, we all had a great day worth a look
Not just for kids! Great protected area for swimming. High diving boards (pretty rare these days) and some area for lap swimming. Plenty of space on the grass to find a spot in the sun. Nearby water fountains and cafe to keep you refreshed. Probably one of the best beach pools in the country!
Its a free public pool! Awesome place to relax and for the kids to swim and play. When i go here there is too many people. But this visit was great (around 10am on a weekend) not much crowd, and my kids loved it even it was a 20mins swim and play as the water is too cold for them but they had a blast in their swim.
This place is seriously amazing! We went on a miserable wet rainy day and was still so fun.
We did come back when it was nicer and kids swam. It was freezing cold.
There is a cafe/restaurant there with a bistro window that serves milk shakes and ice chocolates and ice coffees and they were really yummy. There are public toilets for pool area. There is plenty of grass area, althoygh not flat, still good for sitting on and enjoy the beautiful sights. The play ground is good, it could be much bigger haha as there were lots of kids. Parking is doable so long as you don't mind a walk, because it gets very busy. We happened to go when there was a car and bike show on on the main strip, so there were lots of cool old cars to look at and very loud racing happening. There was a big fairswheel set up, which was so cool to go on, with big long view of the bay and car racing stuff and beach. It was a very cool. The walk is beautiful along the forshore, there are restaurants and cafes scattered all along and toilets. I would highly recommend a visit as it was a great day out.
Great pool area to enjoy. On a hit day can get very busy but there is plenty of space to enjoy.
Great pool for kids, safer and cleaner than the beach for your little kids. There are also lifeguard supervising the pool during the day. My kids certainly enjoyed swimming here (compared to the beach). Deepest depth is 1.2m. Shallowest is about a knee depth (might be a bit less) but has steps on the side for sitting down. The only let down is the public changing room, it’s quite dirty and smelly (hence 4-stars instead of 5).
Visiting from Sydney and I was very impressed with Geelong. Very nice, chilled out town that looks like a very nice place to live. And this public pool down at the shore adds a real nice touch to everything.
Beautiful beach for family, especially the pool for kids. It is such amazing place to go and enjoy in your day.
Love the beach and pool Area but way too many extra large and huge people trying to take over the place especially the pool area and squashing small kids in the process.
It's great for kids, expect a shallow kids pool, its normally very busy during winter but it is a great part to (eastern) beach
Eastern Beach is a great family location. Good for a walk, picnic on the vast lawn area. It has change rooms and a classic art deoco feel. All year round there are interest events.
Nice area. Good idea, good execution, but the water was very murky and lots of seaweed. But other then that, would recommend
Fantastic venue for families with young children to acquaint them with water in a safe environment.
The scenery and the serenity is something to behold at night time and in the evenings, it's an awesome place to hang with your mates or to relax with your family
Love this spot but watch the water after rains an puffer fish & jellies otherwise its lovely spot ReOPEN THE BEACH HOUSE ASAP PLEASE GIVE IT TO ME TO RUN
Went for a swim here in the 1970's. I stood on something pointy and my foot hurt for a while. I have not been back for a swim here since. I just wonder what sea critters live in it!
The Eastern Beach pool is a favourite excursion in our family. It is well shaded and surrounded by benches. The pool has plenty of shadow areas around the edge, and gets deeper (though still quite shallow) toward the fountain in the middle. There is easy access to bathroom facilities, which include showers and a changing area. There is a wonderful playground and grassy area right next to the pool. It is also right next to the circular promenade and the beach area. There is often a coffee and takeaway cart nearby.
