The receptionist I spoke to today was so rude. If that’s the how your spoken to trying to make an appointment couldn’t imagine what the care would be like.

Money-hungry thieves and They discriminated against you for having disabilities becuz u want to become ur mother's carer

This place is absolutely awful. I came here for years despite the rude, nasty receptionists. The doctors dismissed me and treated me as an inconvenience due to my chronic health issues. They put me on so much medication and never referred me for help, I had to do all that myself.
I found myself a new doctor who couldn't believe how bad a condition I was in. I was at serious risk of heart attack or stroke. Melbourne Private Hospital strongly advised me to report this clinic & doctor.
Since leaving this clinic my health has significantly improved.

All but one staff member are Rude non caring and have serious attitude problems -All Drs in the Clinic now are just as bad couldn’t give a dam how sick you are! Just pay up

We’ve been coming here for a while now and have always found all the staff lovely and helpful but dr. Gandham to be particularly through and attentive especially with our little one. Would highly recommend her

Im very disappointed upon what this health system has come too.

Not only did i wait 1 hour and 30 mins for my appointment, i got told that i need a covid test before i see a doctor. That cost me $85.00 and they didn't even check my temperature, chest or throat so pretty much your going to the doctors to be told that you have covid no matter what or they will pretty much tell you your injection is expired.
From what i can see there alot of older people are coming here and this clinic is taking advantage or the elderly stinging them a $85.00 fee without doing a general check up.
Not to mention the doctor was upset before i even walked inside she was rolling her eyes at me like I've done something wrong i think theres abit of racism at this clinic and i dont feel safe coming here anymore highly recommend stay away guys.

I booked an appointment on Monday when the first available was Friday. Turned up Friday at my appointed time to be told there was no record of my name or DOB, maybe I’d booked at the clinic in Niddrie?
After showing the receptionist a record of my call I was told I was very lucky, there was a doctor who could see me (now half an hour after my original appointment). Lucky? Lucky I’d booked and it hadn’t been recorded or lucky I’d found the clinic I booked at?
In the end, the consult took about five minutes and the happy ending was that I didn’t have to speak to reception on the way out and never will again because I sure won’t be back! Urgh ‍️

Stay for the quality female doctors but don’t come for great customer service from the receptionists.

Just had a very odd experience, generally the receptionists are lovely, but I’ve just had a phone call with possibly a new one that has left me slightly rattled. Hostile, cut me off, rushed me, no help at all. I’m trying to track down a referral that wasn’t sent to my specialist properly and it was made out that it was my problem not Eastbrookes “we faxed it soooooo. ”. Not helpful at all. Now I have to go into the clinic to see if it’s there/ the right referral.

I called today because I urgently need a script. Sadly their receptionist was pretty hostile and rude to me, and often interrupted me when I was speaking. I understand that sometimes people have bad days, but when you're trying to politely seek medical help for something pretty urgent, it would be nice to be treated with a shred of kindness, or at least something resembling neutrality. My GP is great, but I'm considering going elsewhere because the receptionists are consistently rude here. I'm only writing this review so that other people are aware of what they're dealing with. Thank you.

I see Dr Panhwar here, and have already reached out to Eastbrooke themselves about her, and they asked me to provide a public review so here I am.

Dr Panhwar is the most delightful and thorough GP I've had, having moved GPs a lot due to travel in the past 10 years.

I find her manner warm and encouraging, her care thorough, and my experience with her refreshing.

Understanding the immense pressure our healthcare system is under right now (and in general), Dr Panhwar always manages to ensure I feel that her focus is entirely on me and she's willing to help me with whatever I need (even if she's running behind).

I couldn't recommend Dr Panhwar more, because I've already recommended her to everyone I know.

Also: blood testing on sight is super convenient!

Reading through the reviews, this appears to be a pretty common theme. We've had a number of unpleasant experiences with Eastbrooke Essendon. The appointments are quite expensive, especially for a family with 3 children. While we are happy to pay for good service, from the moment you walk in, it feels as though you are a burden to the people that work there. At first we tried to understand that people often have bad days, but after a number of visits, found that the receptionists are unfriendly and uncaring. Furthermore, of the numerous doctors/nurses we have seen, we haven't found one that doesn't make us feel rushed through our session. After being quite new to the area, i'm sad to say we will be looking elsewhere moving forward.

Always excellent friendly service. Long term customer. Very convenient. Co-located with blood testing service and pharmacy. Nurses on site for emergencies. Highly recommended.

Great Doctors, super friendly and helpful receptionists. Has been my doctors office since I was a child and they’ve always been amazing

I was a big fan of the doctors and extra time they give you is worth the extra money but I wont go back again on account of the rude receptionists. First time it happened I assumed they were having a bad day, the forth time it happened I realised they are just miserable rude people. On the phone and in person they are rude. Plenty of other doctors out there that won't treat you with contempt.

Shame, I really liked the doctor too.

New patient at the clinic. Have finally found a doctor I am happy with. Dr Shumaila Panhwar is excellent. Highly recommend if you are on the hunt for a really good Female Doctor.

I have been a patient at Eastbrooke Family Clinic in Essendon since its original inception in Moonee Ponds under a different name over a decade ago. All of the doctors we have sought support from for myself and my family have been approachable and supportive. I currently see Dr Bashir and find her to be very knowledgeable, approachable and empathetic. The nursing staff led by Joan are wonderful as are the reception staff led by Meredith. We are very fortunate to have this team in the local area. My only idea for further improvement would be more availability of doctors after 5pm and on weekends/public holidays.

I have been attending this clinic for the past 57 years and have very good faith in the doctors and staff at this clinic. They are very thorough with diagnosing and make sure they explain to you what is happening and do it in a very friendly and courteous way.
The ladies at the counter are always friendly and make you feel like a person not a number. Highly recommend Eastbrooke Fsmily Clinic. The name says it all.

Eastbrooke is a great family med centre & Dr R. Ellis-Jones is a friendly, kind & wise Dr. One who actually is willing to give u some time & not just In/out take this feel better. He listens to your issues & works it out with u. I very happy & now healthy client.
