Early Learners / Guardian reviews
23Great place to take your kids, the staff are so friendly and my kids always come home happy
Both our kids love guardian. The staff are fantastic and our kids are always happy and feel comfortable. Well done Guardian, Altona North. Keep it up!
A great little daycare.
My son has been going here since early 2017 and he is thriving.
All the educators and staff have a genuine love for the children and what they do.
Yes the centre looks a little tired and old but the children don't mind and that is all that matters. (The centre will be in a brand new building later next year)
When I have more children they will also be going here.
With the amount of pot holes in their parking area that they can't look after with a cheap load of crush rock, what hope could I have that you can look after a child. It's been years like this
Dear guardian I m so lucky that my child is attendant Altona north Center. They given very good service and I really appreciate that they were being nice to us with support. Also thanks for Center manager Jessica.p. I m very happy for all your support.
I have had both my children in this daycare for a while now and I’ve never been more comfortable leaving them. The staff are the warmest, nicest people always going above and beyond to look after the children. I get updates as the day goes by through an app about how my children are. When my kids are a bit sick or being fussy the educators have so much patience and compassion and they let me know straight away if they aren’t seeming well. My daughter always asks to go to daycare now even on her days at home. They constantly come up with new ways to educate and entertain the children. They really focus on forming bonds with the children as well as with the families too. The food is always full of nutrition, and for fussy eaters like my kids I don’t think they have ever refused a meal there! They really do go above and beyond at this centre, for my sons 1st birthday they made him a cake, sung happy birthday to him and even took his sister in to sing as well. You really do just feel warmth from every staff member there!
A lovely centre full of passionate professionals who so tenderly care about my precious little one.
Our son loves attending Guardian, or ‘school’ as we call it. Has thrived and truly loves all of his educators. We were worried about transitioning after attending a different daycare for a long time but the staff in both the rooms and at the front desk have made it so easy. We love the range of food our son gets to eat and that he is always greeted by educators in different rooms despite having only been in the one. Excited to see the new centre too! Thanks Wallaby room, Jess P and the rest of the team!
I have my kids going to this Childcare and i have no problem in recommending to other parents. The educators and all the people working there take a lot of care in dealing with our little ones and its really appreciated
Used to go here, very nice place. I think that the teachers could be a bit nicer but I left this school for some reason to go somewhere else so uh yeah. Nice from what I know.
Our 3 and a half year journey at this centre has been outstanding. We have a child with additional needs. They have been supportive of his challenges, and incredibly willing to learn how to care for his increasing sensory needs. Throughout the years, they have been extremely sensitive and communicative about their strategies and goals, to assist him to have the best possible experience in the day care setting. We will never forget what they have done for us. Highly recommend!
Guardian Altona north excellent customer service is impressive, and staff are kind and helpful and always give parents beautiful smile
My son has been there since his early age and now he will need to go to pre, we have to say goodbye to his little friends there, we will miss you all.
Kind regards
Tracy Zhang
I would like to commend Guardian Altona North for a positive experience for our family. From the front office staff to the kinder Emu Room, all staff were caring, considerate and communicative, particularly during this challenging year. I would like to make a special mention of Mary and Rachel at the front office and particularly Hemali and Ri in the kinder Emu Room. Thank you for looking after us and providing a fun and supportive learning environment for my boy. Thank you.
We are more than happy with the quality of care provided at Guardian Altona North (formally Early Learners). We were hesitant at first coming from a small regional town where we experienced a much smaller childcare centre, but our worries were wiped away by the friendly faces that greeted us! This was two years ago, and we have since enrolled our second little one here. Yes the centre is big and there are a lot of children and families, but we feel the educators there all make the time for every child. The kinder program is also amazing! Even in the midst of a global pandemic, we feel confident that our kindy is prepared for school next year.
Not recommened it at all. Our experience at Guardian Altona North started really well. At the babies room he was very well looked after, and the number of children were reasonable. However once he got moved to the other two rooms, all troubles started, the Echidna and Kangaroo room had between 26 and 28 toddlers between 2 to 3 years, with 7 teachers. My son was sent home with a poop nappy in multiple occasions, the turn over of staff was high so we couldn't recognize the teachers ourselves, clothes were missing, many gastro and viruses outbreaks, he got bitten twice while in their care and he would spend most of his time reading books on his own. This is all due to the quantity of kids in one room, any other provider would have a maximum of 16 or 20 toddlers. Even tough I had multiple meetings with Management and Administration no changes were made or issues addressed properly. It would be difficult for the carers to engage all children in activities, also all this stimulation is overwhelming for a kid that age and therefore some of them behaved aggressive towards others. So please do not take the chance of going through a year of getting your son or daughter used to the center to later find out you would need to move it. I would not recommend this Child Care at all, there are around some many other centers with better teaching philosophy and programs for your kids to flourish rather than just being looked after.

I've had my daughters at 3 other centres throughout their time in early childcare. Early Learners Altona by far the best. The staff are kind, friendly and great educators. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
I have sent my son here since he was 3 months old and couldn’t have asked for a more friendly, supportive, welcoming and trusting educators to
Look after my boy. Highly recommend this sending your child to this early learners family centre.
My son has been at Guardian Early Learners for a year and half now. We have had only positive experiences there and intend to start our second son soon. The staff are friendly, supportive and nuturing. I love how they keep us updated on what activities the kids get up each day via their online platform. There are lots of outdoor space for the kids to run around. The centre organises events throughout the year where families can meet educators and carers and have a play with the kids, such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparents Day, Xmas Concert and Graduation Day, etc. I highly recommend booking a tour to see if this centre suits your family.
We could not be happier with our experience at Early Learners! The staff are friendly, welcoming and always keep the children engaged in something fun. I love how the teachers take note of what the children are actually interested in and tailor their days to keep them engaged in fun & educational activities. There is plenty of outdoor space & the kids love the gardening projects they can get involved in.
