Had a great day today at Eagle Ridge. Jason was extremely helpful on the phone helping us book in and the hospitality at check in today was really positive. The course was in great condition with the greens rolling very true.

Post round drinks were also a great experience with live music and a great vibe around the clubhouse. Cant wait to come back and try to find a few more fairways:)

The course is nice, well maintained and good range of holes but they send out an old bloke to follow and watch you for the first 2-4 holes and it’s very intimidating. I’m not sure of their reasoning for this, otherwise I’d happily give 5 stars for facilities bar staff.

This is a really nice course to play, narrow and challenging and in very good condition.loved it.but sadly some of the staff really do need some customer service skills. They came across as disinterested and lacking in personality. The golf carts are presented poorly, not cleaned and you are given a key and expected to know which cart to take.

Booked 9-holes with the ambition of playing with my 7 year old son who’s a beginner. Arrived the pro-shop and was advised they’d paired me up with another two players. Whilst I totally understand and respect club policies and procedures, when I gave them some feedback - about perhaps a courtesy message for people like me who weren’t aware of this commonality and who really just want some one on one time with my son, they refused to accept or acknowledge that on this occasion I felt let down by them. They were unable to accomodate a round for just me and my son, and unable to apologise or even acknowledge that on occasions like this, it would have been nice to know they’d planned to pair me up.

Stunning course, one of the best I’ve played. Challenging layout, demands accuracy not just off tee but it punishes wayward approach shots too (so I lost about 5 balls) but thoroughly enjoyed this picturesque golf course

Popped into the Peninsula Beer Garden which is attached to the Golf Course for lunch.
Ordered a few different dishes from the tapas menu all were average and stock standard frozen then fried food. The absolute standard by far was the popcorn cauliflower - it was simply divine! Didn't order any pizzas but saw them coming out and they looked great.
Golf Grounds look very nice.

Had a great time here yesterday 9/1/23. The wind certainly made it interesting but the course was fun to play. A lot of blind tee shots but having access to a myscore account enabled the course to be viewed which certainly helped. Well priced with carts as well. Some pretty picturesque holes as well especially the par 3’s

Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed playing Eagle Ridge Golf Course this week. I managed to play 2 rounds of 18 holes in between the rain and wind. Beautiful Greens and fairways just a pleasure to have some great lies. Staff in the Pro shop were also very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this course to anyone heading to the Mornington Peninsula for some R& R.

Very nicely maintained and picturesque golf course. Unfortunately the greens are peppered with unrepaired pitch marks.

The course has suffered in the three years since my last visit. Thick kikuyu has infested some of the greenside areas, the greens are ridiculously shaggy and slow and variable in pace. Possibly because they offer cut rate memberships and cheaper green fees, the amount of damage on the course really detracts from the experience. After spending a couple of minutes on every green repairing deep, fresh pitch marks, my putts would still bounce around on their way to the pin. A mid-course bathroom was in horrific condition.

The course itself is not for the faint hearted or beginner. Dense scrub borders many holes and OOB fences run tightly next to some holes. There are several uphill, blind tee shots onto heavily contoured and sloping fairways. Deep fairway bunkers are positioned exactly where an off centre shot might go. Literally impenetrable vegetation borders some holes without lateral markers to offer you penalty relief, despite the fact that the fairway slopes that way. If you're lacking in confidence off the tee, it's going to be a long day, even more so if the breeze stiffens up.

On the plus side, you really need to think your way around, blazing away mindlessly will bite you for sure. If you find your ball off the fairway, often it's unplayable and two club lengths isn't enough to help other give you a chance at knocking it out sideways.

In reply to the owner's reply:
I appreciate that it's been tough for some courses to keep up maintenance due to Covid, especially when their income has been cut deeply. And I think the course is a great experience overall. Some of the closing holes are super punishing and could use lateral penalty areas to ease the pain somewhat.

My point about the annual fees: when rates are so low, my *guess* is that some who take up the offer don't have a strong sense of connection to the club so don't look after the course when they play. Casual vs committed. It's not your fault but people thinking of playing ER should be aware of it. It used to be MUCH better.

And please, toilets need to be cleaned. Thoroughly.

Great designed course for the skilled golfer. Technical play required to master this course. Hospitality of course staff is excellent to ensure you enjoy playing there.

Hadn't played here for just over three years because of covid. Course was fantastic and green we're very consistent. Recommend a round.

We bought a group of friends here, lovely venue and great staff, unfortunately they don’t do any cocktails! Otherwise great

Beautiful course, excellent facilities and some challenging holes. At times it felt like more of an adventure than a game of golf.

My husband and I had a lesson with Jason earlier this week. He was fantastic - his communication was very clear and he was very encouraging and supportive. Most importantly we were hitting the ball so much better after just one lesson. Will definitely be going back for more lessons. Highly recommend.

Course in excellent condition considering recent wet weather. Interior and exterior facilities all great. Staff service/pro shop good.
