An organization with many services that caters to various clients' needs. However, many eccentric colleagues. Biased supervisors. Opinionated. Supposed to be a CALD-friendly organization but a Mike Quaass walks around and doesn't do his job (it seems). One could see that he's a covert racist. Many reasons to back up but won't go in-depth. Very friendly with Australians but when it comes to others, he would try to show some authority. LOL.

Some colleagues talk behind others' backs just because they want to get the rank/position and higher pay. At the expense of someone? That's a cheap shot.

In theory, it's supposed to be a friendly and supportive work culture but in practice, it's otherwise. Known of ex-colleagues who left EACH because people were acting weird. A Kiwi guy Jason, is like a wolf in sheep's clothing. He smiles and talks nicely but behind that smile is an evil hearted person who would backstab you to your supervisor. Maybe he has yet to grow a pair to be upfront to the colleagues rather sabotage someone's rice bowl.

Another support worker says that he's going out for 'outreach services' but goes home, sleeps for few hours and then comes back when the office's about to close and acts busy typing away. LOL.

No proper supervision for most colleagues. During morning meetings it's always about what the supervisor, Carrie, and her partner did for the weekend, where they went, etc. Boring. We all have to listen to her because she's the 'boss'.

Remuneration - HR just gives you a scale pay point and it's like a 'take it or leave it' sort of attitude without much referencing to previous and relevant work experiences. No room for negotiation. When shared with the supervisor, she said 'that's the way the cookie crumbles' and then giggles. Wow, that much 'support' from the supervisor. But when it comes to clients, suddenly these people have split personalities. They try to act all empathetic with them but couldn't care less with colleagues.

Colleagues generally too slow on computer. Perhaps send them for computer courses so they can be more competent? They are typing at snail's pace. We have to do their share of work because they talk and talk and talk and talk and talk on the phone to the clients BUT cannot type fast, and other clients are suffering and having a longer waiting time to be attended to, causing a huge pileup.

I know other colleagues from the AOD department are generally nicer, supportive and well-balanced. No doubt EACH is a good organization but too many rotten apples in there that can ruin one's working experiences. Done and dusted with this company.
