Dymocks Prahran reviews
31Great Bookstore, they have a wonderful selection in store and will order any book in for you. Very nice staff and I highly recommend them.
Thankyou to the girl who helped me gift wrap some presents the other day.
Appreciate it very much
Tried over 10 stores!
excellent service, very happy and polite staff is always welcoming
Really amazing book store. Solid selection and the staff are so friendly and knowledgable. They really go out of their way to help you. Sure the prices are cheaper at Kmart or Big W but it's all relative, and I would happily pay more to get this kind of service. I go to Big W and they just look at you with a "I don't get paid enough to help you" blank stare.
I love this store, such a wide variety, friendly staff and good recommendations. I always walk out with a great book.
Reasonable book selection but doesn't have as wide array of books as had hope
The staff could use a bit of maturity and awareness of the questions the customer is actually asking rather than being in the clouds imagining a different dialogue is happening to the one that is actually present i.e unprofessional and unaware
I live right across from this bookshop and visit at least once a week, absolutely love it here always good deals on!
Claire was the perfect shopping attendant. Helped me find everything I need and more with a smile.
Eclectic and update to date. Slightly pricey on all items, don't look for an average couple of pageturners. Grab something special
Many, many years buying books here. I love this branch. Professional, friendly. The people are a delight. And they really have proved during these tough times how excellent they are at doing what they do. Actually, I'm smiling while I write. Now that's a good sign, too.
Last time I was here I placed an order for a book they did not have in stock. This time it was a quick and easy process to retrieve the book I had ordered. There are always friendly and helpful staff here.one of my favourite stores.
The staff are also very helpful and friend. Good selection of books and their recommended reads are quality.
With so few book shops left on the planet it's comforting to be able to just browse through Dymocks. Mostly browsing turns to buying, but that's another story.
I needed a copy of The Tibetan Book of the Dead (perhaps we all do) and there is was on the shelf in it's place, under the category of Religion and Philosophy. A single copy. The shop is very well lit, clean and well organised. The customer service staff are friendly and helpful. Keep book shops open in your neighbourhood. It would be a pity to loose them altogether. The hours are convenient and the location is near to everything else you need for body and soul.
Very friendly staff, with a well kept, tidy and organised selection. Special orders can be made, in a highly efficient service, but keeps a wide selection in all areas of interest. Large selection of games, and cards and other novelty items and gifts.
This is my local bookstore and one of my favourite places. Great stock, and the staff is super helpful if you need recommendations or looking for a book in particular.
Walked in just before closing time and asked for a specific book. Staff knew exactly where it was even without looking it up on the computer. Very impressed.
Open late on Fridays - bonus if you're looking for a gift in the area. Great selection of books as well as other small gift v items. Even their occasional card selection is quite good.
Very disappointing!
Looking for a Christmas gift. Asked to view an art book locked in a display cabinet. The salesperson was happy to unlock the cabinet and show me the book but unfortunately the book was sealed so I couldn't see any interior pages. At a cost of $120- I think I am not unreasonable in expecting to be able to view the product before purchase.
The manager was asked if the book could be unsealed but he replied in the negative. Obviously pre-Christmas sales were so good he felt they needn't bother with me and a potential sale to the tune of $120-.
I'll shop elsewhere in future.
I asked for a book by its title, I didn't know the author, the staff member knew the book and showed me where it was on the shelves. Friendly, polite assistance in a smallish but well stocked book shop.
Humourless, distracted and rude. I do apologise for trying to shop at your store, clearly your customers are an inconvenience for you.
