Dungeon of Magic reviews
28Knowledgeable staff who can advise on choices for children with enquiring minds. Expert selection of board games. Travel games can be based on European countries or US states. Extensive collection of antique playing cards with historic views and interesting annotations.
Great shop. Very helpful and generally nice people. Plenty of MTG products as well for really good prices.
I also played a couple of casual commander games on saturday. Really a great atmosphere to hang out and meet new people
The gentleman at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. He helped me pick out a murder mystery game I wanted. Thank you
Great little place. A lot of fun perusing all the dnd items especially all the dice and Mini's. Super helpful and friendly staff.
Finally got to join one of the events and had a great time, would reccomend checking the place out!
While they have excellent prices, I found the owner incredibly rude. Had a go at my friend for looking at a box of poorly conditioned cards and said it'll "ruin his day", if he dropped them. To which he obviously wasn't going to as we both take care in the trading cards themselves.
Not a very welcoming experience unfortunately.
Pretty good board game shop, owner is helpful and whilst I didn't get the exact product I wanted, I got a good deal out of the purchase, which was nice.
I spent $210.00 AUD in one transaction, then when I requested keys for the bathroom. The staff was extremely rude and said sorry you are not a regular therefore find it elsewhere. I'm shocked about this attitude from a staff member of this shop. I will never come back again and definitely will tell my friends about this shop
Had a great time looking through Magic cards yesterday and chatting to the friendly owner. Great amount of stock at good prices. I intend to come back.
I play Flesh and Blood regularly and there aren't many places that hold armory events on Saturdays in Melbourne. Really glad that they hold their events on Saturdays in the morning, and that they also have a massive range of board games available to purchase in store. Staff are really friendly too.
Super cool and knowledgeable staff. They’re a little hard to find, but outside that I have no complaints.
Wonderful place.
Very competitive prices, good range, kind and knowledgable owner. Nice community and games.
Awesome place for MtG but also stocks lots of DnD goods and other boardgame & trading card game items.
Wonderful staff, helpful fun and friendly. A wonderful game shop that holds in store competitions
Had a great time here. I appreciated the precautions the staff took to run a safe event. They have heaps of stock and were helpful and friendly.
Bought some board games today. The owner was super friendly and even put some games aside for us to make sure we didn’t miss out. Really competitive prices too. Highly recommended
Great collection of D&D minis. Including the gargantuan dragons.
Note that the location is downstairs and not that easy for people with limited mobility
Might have been a once off, but I walked in and spent a good 5-10 minutes looking, decided to leave as the shopkeeper was more keen with his phone conversation. As I say, might have been a once off, but that was the only time for that shop for me.
Great group of players there for Magic and always a good game. A bit tight on space but that makes it more cozy
Very kind gentleman who spoke to us and he was here for 24 years. Can you imagine that, 20 years! We were blown away by his loyalty to card and board games. He has the staying power. KUDOS TO THE SPIRIT BOTHERS ALL.
Yes it is inside a classical lane that has a cast iron lookalike structure and one has to go down two flight of stair to enter a dark dungeon like narrow corridor, that explains the name, Dungeon.
This is not the best place to play Magic in Melbourne. I've only played one real tournament there, but it was hot, tiny and cramped. The owner looks like a goblin. Be aware that if you find an uncommon in the commons box, the owner will pull it out separately and charge you the price for an uncommon.
