Dumplings Plus reviews
80 The roast duck bone taste nice, how do i know? Because I paid extra $2 for the roast duck, not the roast duck.
They aren't flexible. Some staff are annoying to deal with.
Even have to beg for a pair of chopstick, is chopstick really expensive here? Almost every stall here just let you have the tableware yourself but not Dumpling Plus
This Chadstone-based store is the only restaurant in Victoria I visited contains hot soup with plastic bowl w/o consideration of possible hurtful chemical emission when mixing temperature with plastic. My 2c suggestion: what if add a note in the menu something like "we use plastic bowl, if you're concerned, please let us know"? Such way that customers can make their informed decision at the first place.
For a bigger plate, they charged AUD16.90. If you wanted to include roast pork or duck, additional AUD2.
Taste wise, it was terrible. Fried rice was tasteless. Roast duck and roast pork were poorly done. Vege was mediocre. 1 star
The only reason one should cone here for meal was cheap relatively in the more. Don't understand me wrongly. I didn't say it was cheap but compare to other stall or cafe or restaurant here, this was one of the cheapest
The quality of the food was average and the food took too long to arrive.
Would not go back there. There are better options around the area.
For a outlet in a shopping center I found this to be one of the best I have been to for Chinese meals everything look lovley and fresh servings quite large plate full and for the price found it to be good value
The taste of the food is quite average, but the portion of the rice is not very generous. Only 2 dishes for 16.8 yuan. I ordered honey chicken; it was heavily coated in flour and the batter was very thick, but there was very little meat. Wouldn't recommend trying.
The food is decent and worth stopping by if you are in chadstone for a quick bite. They have a buffet and a separate menu to choose from. If you order off the menu, they have a tiny area of seating next to their kitchen.
While the buffet is average their curry puff is definitely worth the try. It’s a decent size pastry with generous filling.
No idea why the waitress keep laughing when I ordered my food, not recommended for the poor service
Rude employee. I didn’t know the rice had pork and i don’t eat pork. I asked the employee if I can replace it with noodles, she pointed to the sign and literally walked away (the sign of the plate). There are nicer ways to talk to people but I guess everyone is raised differently.
My guilty pleasure is Dumplings Plus's honey chicken with steamed rice. Westernised asian food at its best and quickest! In my opinion the best in Melbourne (even compared to proper chinese dining options). No matter how many other eateries there are at Chadstone - I am always back for that sweet, crispy and delicate honey chicken!
Food here is god tier and well priced, if I'm ever hungry in Chadstone I look to this place.
We enjoyed a on-the-run lunch during bisy Christmas shopping. Good food, prawn dumplings were the pick for us. Quick and friendly service.
Decent Chinese food. All the food looks really tempting but some of it is a bit pricey. I tried the noodles in XO sauce and they tasted good but not amazing. The portions are alright and the person who served me made sure to really pack in the noodles. The service was alright, quick and friendly. Overall, pretty decent.
ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. I simply ordered a meal and got yelled at immediately. A women working on the 01/12/2022 started going off at me asked who I wanted to be served by. It didn't stop there, after I simply stated that I didn't mind and just wanted to pay for my meal, she completely cracked it at me to the point I was nearly in tears. Disgusting service by this business, they shouldn't be operating if that's the way they communicate with customers. SHOCKING! If the owner reads this please fire her. Oh and also been absolutely sick from this food all day today. All round worst experience and will not be eating from this shjt hole again.
I bought the crispy pork, honey chicken and Singapore noodles. The food was so so nice apart from the noodles I went again and had the same thing but changed the noodles.
The second time I came the pork was cold and the noodles tasteless again also the honey chicken mostly didn't have chicken in it. I loved it the first time but not the second. Keep going perfecting your work, DP you have potential for being truly a great eating spot. Ty.
Visited during boxing day. We were looking for quick dinner. Staff helped us to order quickly before closing the restaurant. It took 10mins to arrive food. Food was okay.
Seriously DUMPLING PLUS! We sincerely love this place. They never fail, in thier servings it's always generous, very tasty, and have a large range of options to suit everyone and all ages. We live around the Dandenong Ranges, and when feel like Chinese I personally drive out to Chaddy (even though I hate Chaddy Centre) just for thier food, put in my food heat bag and go home, we have our 'takeout'. I find it worth it. As yet have not found a asian takeout yet decent enough in area. Atmosphere rated it low as sometimes can be hard to find in food court to sit and eat, gets very crowded, and over bearing at times.
Hard to find a better restaurant. From the perfect heat, to the little things. Perhaps the best Kong Pao Chicken with Rice (Chilli & Peanuts) I have had from many countries. Simple things like the quality of the Sesame Ball (red bean dumpling), is a favorite Nothing is less that great all the time
The chicken was undercooked. Fortunately I had a takeaway so steamed it after coming home. Wouldn't recommend.
At what time white supermacy is a social culture here in Australia? I am not sure. Like I came earlier than another Aussie couple just about to order something. A young asian man hesitated and asked what they wanted first. I was telling him that I wanted to order something but I don’t want to argue because it’s not polite in Australia. He frowned and seemed very inpatient, and continued asking them while letting me wait. Another lady just showed up at this moment to ask what I wanted to order. When I saw the guy wanted to get something and take them to the courier, I spoke loudly to remind him I came first, but seemed like he knew what happened without seeing it right?
I barely ordered from here, so I guess might not come again until I remembered this one.
