Dumpling Workshop reviews
49Amazing place, been going for years. Best dumplings, salt and pepper calamari and chilli beef with rice anywhere. I love this place my kids love this place. Never ever disappointed EVER
Went to this great little place for dinner on Mothers Day (2022). Greeted with a smile immediately upon entry. The place was busy with many local dinners. Service was excellent & quick. The food was fantastic. The prices were very reasonable that made it economical for a family (there were 6 of us) to enjoy a night dining out! Highly recommended.
Great food, great prices. Can't ask for more.large serving sizes, fresh tasty food, quick service and great prices. Highly recommended.
The food is reasonably priced. Restaurant is clean and adequately decorated. However the food we ordered were not as expected. Xiu long bao fillings were dry and the soup was no where to be found. Some dishes were served cold. The only dish we liked the last time we were there was the chicken corn soup. Service was a bit slow.
Love the food. A regular dining place for me. Never get disappointed by the food. Good sized portions and pricing. Recommended.
I tried the green coloured fried veg dumplings and the steamed dumplings. Taste is very good and very reasonably priced.the fried dumpling is 15 for $9 and the steamed was not worth paying $5 for just 4 since taste was ok compared to the 15 dumplings for $9. They have chilli oil and soy sauce in the table so we can mix it and use it as a sauce to dip the dumpling.
What can I say? This is one of the best places, dining for dumplings and other Chinese cuisines. What's more? It is much cheaper than the ones in Chinatown but much better in taste. The environment is tailored for Western cultures in my opinion. The cashier is much friendly and relaxed in comparison to other Chinese restaurants.
My favorite dumpling restaurant on Koornang Rd for couple of good reasons. 1. Great dumplings of course 2. Reasonable price 3. Nice and cosy (definitely the best dining room ambience on the strip among those dumpling joints) highly recommended
The food was lacking flavour. Ordered Kung Pao Chicken which despite having 2/3 chilli rating, had no spice. The chicken and prawn dumplings were very bland.
Hands down best dumplings in melbourne!
I have introduced my family and friends to dumpling workshop and the responses have been - these are the best dumplings I’ve ever had. Enjoy
AMAZING SPRING ONION PANCAKE and super delicious vegetarian dumplings even better when kept for left overs the day after! The spring rolls were a bit disappointing though but other than that it was perfect
We came here for brunch (I know - odd place for brunch) with absolutely no one inside when we arrived.
This being considered service was perhaps a tiny bit slower than you’d have expected with only two people present.
However when we were attended to the service was kind and polite and attentive with everything coming as ordered.
The crispy lemon chicken was amazingly flavoured, perhaps just a little too much of the sauce as it made the chicken a touch soggy. The taste however was ridiculously good with a fantastic crunchy texture.
The fried rice was flawless- no further comments except to say perfect.
The dumplings were the let down. They were quite over cooked and a bit rubbery.
Overall the food was 7/10, service 8/10 decor, 10/10. Beautiful place, lovely staff.
Will definitely be back.
Thanks for a great meal.
Really beautiful food! The vegetarian options are limited, but what they do have is amazing! Highly recommend their dumpling soup.
We keep going back to this place.
Dumplings, fried rice, kung Pao chicken are our favourite here. You can't go wrong with any of this.
The staff here don't speak great English so sometimes it's hard to communicate.
They can be a bit more friendly and welcoming.
The best dumplings I've ever had. Love the place too. The service is awesome. Thank you guys for making our experiences unique
Located in busy koornang road, this offers good taste in reasonable price. Went first time to just get the taste of it and ordered vegetarian spring roll and pan fried vegetarian dumplings.
Both items were hygienic, had good taste. Service was quite fast and the price was nominal. Loved it and will visit again.
Very rude service, food is good but they don’t treat you well. Closing time is 10 but they deny for the order at 9: 30
I'm a dumpling lover and after trying almost all dumpling places in Melbourne, this restaurant is the winner - best Dumplings in Melbourne by far! Great service and the restaurant has very nice decor. Love love!
Favourite local dumpling shop. Good menu for those who also don't want dumplings. Service is good even when busy, it's often busy because it's great. Good options for vegetarians and allergies. Very accommodating too.
Serviced their fire extinguishers for a $40 fee. Waiting months for payment, then told they had new owners. Got a text from the person who authorised all the services and told to F**K off! Not a good way to operate a business - Stay clear!
