Dumpling House reviews
56 Such a worst restaurant. No sense how to talk with customers
Worst food ever in my life. No timing sense
I feel they are racist. Stop acting so much.
Not bad, just your typical local asian joint with the standard menu.so nothing special.good size lunch meals.my pork dish was a bit dry but nice fried eggs.
I can't believe how tasty this place is, and I never knew it was there, so close to places I normally shop at with access to parking. Heavens the food was some of the best food I'd ever eaten, the pork just melted like butter, and I recommend this place to anyone now as the service was incredible too
The meals are delicious, the portions are large, and the price is cheaper than outside~~~

Good place to have a good Chinese meal while at the Moonee Ponds Central. Easy access from the mall with parking and washroom facilities available at the mall. Very friendly staff. Quiet atmosphere. Takeaway available. Good for kids. Have had lunch twice here and have tried their special fried rice, meat combination fried rice, honey soy chicken, chicken with vegetables, prawn and chicken dumplings and chicken spring rolls. Everything was delicious. Good quantity for the price.
Will definitely be going back!
Update 2023: Have visited Dumpling house many times over the last few years, always loving the good food, appreciating the friendly staff, and recommending this restaurant to anyone who feels like a good meal.
Today, however, the lone man at the front, seemed hurried, distracted, rude and just too busy to even say hello or make eye- contact! I would have given my genuine feedback if he had seemed to care. His responses to our food-order was curt, short and sharp. The food was delicious, as always, but I’m truly bewildered by the shocking service.
Please get the help that you need, so that you continue to serve your clients/ customers well.
Food is fabulous, had bbq pork fried rice and beef brisket hot pot. Boss at the front house was helpful and kind
I love this place, good old fashioned values, the owner working hard and providing exceptional food At extremely fair prices.
Taking on the big businesses and winning!
The review is to admire the manner of the staff. As we were dining on Saturday night and the restaurant was very busy. The two ladies sat behind us and knocked the chilli oil bowl down. The oil spilled all over the place but the lady didn’t even apologise. You accused the bad customer service you had but I can tell that the staff was running around and try to clean up your mess without complaining. Shame on you…. We all saw the truth
I was in a rush and short for time. They catered for my needs very well. The dumplings came out bang on 15minutes which is when they said. Very impressed guys thanks very much
Great little place, would visit here from time to time and always had a great experience.
Food is good and priced just right!
Above average dumplings. It's a good place to go when eating out with uni friends or to curb your craving for dumplings.
Consistently tasty dumplings, very low key but great if you want to eat some dumplings in a cozy environment
Bought dumpling house fried rice, the rice a bit soiled, this kind of rice when fried taste bad.
Very rare that I leave a poor review for a restaurant. Spring onion pancake was bland and overcooked, and the boiled pork dumplings I had were firm and just didn't taste right. Didn't seem fresh at all.
Service was fine and the staff were nice, so I was disappointed when the food was such a let down. Your mileage may vary, but I doubt I'll be back for more.
Ordered a fried rice, and two stir-fries and it’s INCREDIBLE. Deceptively simple food but lip-smackingly delicious. I think their attention to details and choice of fresh ingredients made the food really tasty and healthy. The place is also super clean with friendly attentive staff! Will definitely come often now we have found this little gem!
I love this place. Friendly, always great food and reasonably priced. It doesn't look flash bit don't let that fool you the food is great.
Anybody who lives locally and has been around a while knows this is the best place to get Chinese in Moonee Ponds. The xiao long bao especially are standout, and easily as good as Din Tai Fung or Hu Tong. Spring rolls, chicken wonton soup, and prawn dumplings are also stellar.
Good dumplings but sadly they dropped the beef dumplings which was a sad day for those of us not into pork or seafood
Eggplant dish was decent, kung pao chicken didnt have much flavor, dumplings were terrible.a bit pricey for what it is.
This place brings back fond memories of the simply decked out restaurant with the yummiest tastiest best value Chinese food of the 70's! Lovely staff, super quick service and delicious dishes. We all over ate, but still could not finish all the dishes and the host offered us take away containers. Great place to take kids. We had the honey soy chicken, honey chicken, bok hoy with garlic, chicken corn soup, wonton soup, soup dumplings, pork fried dumplings, fried wontons, special fried rice - all 10 out of 10. The wonton soup was my favourite!
