2 I ordered 24 pieces of vegetarian dumplings, however when I started to eat them I realised that I was given two different kinds. The two different kinds of dumplings that I was given weren’t even seperate, they were all mixed together.
I think that you may have given us the zucchini dumplings because your vegetarian ones ran out, but they were given without notifying us which I didn’t appreciate. This, could also have been really dangerous because I’m not aware of the ingredients that go in the dumplings that weren’t the ones I ordered, so it could’ve ended up a lot worse.
I have ordered from here countless times and every single time they have been amazing but I was really disappointed this time, especially the part where I didn’t even realise before I had started eating my meal.
I've only given 4 stars for a couple of reasons. I want to start by saying the pan-fried Pork Dumplings I purchased today for a takeaway lunch were cooked well, good quality and presented nicely. All 12 dumplings weren't squished into one box (which I appreciate) and the products were accurately described on the menu.
A couple points did let Dumpling Delish down though-
1.12 dumplings were advertised on the menu as $12, both online and on the front of the store - I ended up paying $13.00 on card. If this was a surcharge difference, I wasnt notified. A discrepancy in price that wasn't cleared up instore. Whilst it's only a dollar, this may be an issue for some customers.
2. The dumplings, whilst delicious, also had what I would classify as charring on them (not burnt but some charring yhat may have come off the pan). Some customers may find this off-putting.
3. I was told a "10 minute wait" upon paying, yet ended up waiting approx. 15 minutes. Whilst it's only 5 minutes, I'd rather be told "20 minute wait" and feel that the product is ready sooner rather than feeling like I'm waiting longer than I was meant to be.
4. Excessive talking amoung staff.only briefly stopped whilst I was being served. I didn't mind, but other customers might.
Only small things, but things that have made a difference between 4 stars and 5 stars. Quite possibly will be back.
