Dumpling Chef reviews
26The food and service is sub par at best. However, the manager is super bad to employees with shouting and yelling in front of customers. If you want to run your store smoothly, you better treat your staff better because they are your assets!
Wonton soup was amazing, so delicious.
Friendly and helpful for front services.
Wear the glasses one is friendly, She reminds me the soup very hot take it carefully. Very good!
see you all next time:)
I recently ordered pork dumplings here, got up the next day and vomited then back up for 2 days, don’t recommend
Tried the seafood curry laksa and was disappointed that it tasted watery with not enough coconut milk which made it so spicy hot as well.
They really skimped on the coconut milk which spoilt the whole dish.
The Lady at the counter asked if its for take away or having there, i said take away and paind for the food. Once i got my food back i asked for a bag, she its its gonna cost 15c and i said i dont have change i will pay buy card. She said "its not possible to pay by card, you need to ask for a bag before you pay! " rudely!
Thats not how you treat customers. If i said its take a way, you guys should have asked me if i need a bag or not. I am a regular customer. You need to train your staff to be polite & professional. I purchased on 30/01/2023 at around 1pm
Special fried rice is good, pork dumpling is delicious. Nice and friendly staff. I will come back again.
Horrible food.
Fan fried dumplings had no flavour and were very Chewy. The chilli oil had no chilli at all.
Never again!
Taste is not so good and overpriced. Dimsim was terrible and the dumplings pork and prawn had better from supermarkets. The dumpling place in karingal hub food court way better.
Not happy, jan!
if you disregard the appallingly rude customer service, and place then get your order, you'll be blown away with the quality and taste of the food.absolutely delicious, but serves are getting so much smaller.so, I have absolutely no idea why they've put up their prices so high!
1x char kwae tao, 1x hot and sour soup and 1x prawn toast (half a slice of bread), $28.00, thanx for coming!
guys, you're in a food court, not some fancy restaurant in fitzroy!
Biggest rip off. $60 for 2 honey chicken (8 pieces each Meal) and 2 fried rice. Disgusting surprised they are still operating
Reheated rice, this wasn't freshly cooked, then you served me on a plate with no where to sit and told me to stand to eat, you wouldn't give me a refund, instead you only were willing to put my food in a takeaway bag.
There was no place at all for me to eat, not even outside of this area, so I drove l the way home taking my entire break, to a completely dry and disgusting meal.
If only I could've had my money back instead.
Never ever again
No flavour at all. The Dumplings been ok but the Chicken in Chili with Peanuts and Rice would be the blandest Asian meal I have ever tasted. Disappointing
Have had meals from here several times over the last few weeks. The chilli wonons are amazing, dim sims delicious and the curry Laksa as good as any restaurant. Look forward to more delicious food from this food stall.
Never experienced such poor customer service. Purchased salt and pepper squid tentacles for8.00. They were cold and chewy, and absolutely terrible. I informed one of the servants who waved over someone else. She added they would not make me another serve and was very matter of fact about them being the last one and no refund provided. No apology for poor quality food either. Ive purchased dumplings there before and its always been fresh, hot food. Really disappointed!
Food is value for money. The owner is bossy and unrespectful attitude. He does not know about customer service, whistle me to get food and while he could say "excuse me", upset face as if I own him big money.
The food is not too bad there could be better though, the food and drinks are too expensive and a rip off and the staff are rude as well
Peanut chicken served on white rice was bland. Plenty of chili but i would recommend it be served with a special fried rice.
Update 14/05/19 I have to say that these people have really picked up their game, I thought I'd give them another try on the same dish. The service was polite (not friendly) and quick. The food was prepared quickly and was excellently flavoured with fantastic textures. All the seafood was identifiable and had great flavour. I really enjoyed the dish so in the context of a food court going up from 3 to 5.2017
The place was so so. Flavour was ok. Nothing to write home about. Dumplings are nicely formed off site. Char kway teo was reasonable. Serve was huge. Pork bun was a generic commercial frozen bun.
I'm eating my fried rice I bought from this shop while writing this review.geez! These staffs don't look very happy serving customers.poor customer service!
My fried rice tastes like it's from the fridge and it was microwaved.part of it was still cold.i said "take away" but they put it in a plate! Definitely not going back again!
I use to love the prawn hargow from here however they have recently changed their whole stock to be a more processed and generally unpleasent food: (
Though there are still some great dishes they are mainly main meals that are not ready to go.
The to go menu now is unfortunately more of a miss than a hit, and be sure to have cash on you due to minimum eftpos of $10
