Dukes Coffee Roasters reviews
71El Salvador filter coffee was over extracted. Temperature tolerance high which muted all the floral and fruity notes of the coffee. Expected more from such good beans
The store maintained a tidy environment, with generally friendly staff providing fast service.
The take-away cappuccino I ordered was delicious, yet I tasted a separation between the milk and froth from the latte.
This left me disappointed, as the taste resembled supermarket coffee milk rather than the quality one would expect from a barista.
Coffee is
What I ate when I came to Australia
The flat white was so soft and delicious.
Dukes has some of the best coffee in Naarm.its usually pretty busy but well worth the wait.staff are lovely and professional, definitely worth a visit!
Cool cosy dark vibe with aesthetic decor and bustling with people in the morning. Great service and good coffee. Got an oat flat, only $5.50. Would love if they offered some vegan pastries.
My favorite coffee place in the city, enjoy having a coffee and have a rest during the day.
Also got the beans, excited to make them at home!
Had almond croissant and oat latte (they have full cream, oat, and soy).
Pro: quick and standard service, nothing over the top that will make come back there regularly. Coffee is just what you expect from a Melbourne cafe.
For improvement: I wish I was offered to heat my croissant.
Space is a bit cramped, quaint but charming. Better for to-go coffee more than catch ups.
Loved it. They do great coffee.
Staff were friendly and inviting.
Rated on broadsheet as one of the best cafes in Melbourne - and for good reason. Also - you know a place is good when another cafe top tier cafe also recommends them.
One thing you'll find in Melbourne is that if a cafe is great at what it does at a base level (ie coffee) - they know they'll get their repeat and new business.
If in the Melbourne CBD, this place should definitely be within your Top 10 cafes to visit.
Legendary coffee shop on Flinders Lane.
I love that they have the no camera zone for the barista to focus in making coffee. The service was friendly yet highly professional. I would revisit for the pour over. Thumbs up!
I love the Pour Over and Long black there. A bit crowded and chaotic in there as people tryna grab a coffee before work. However, the baristas do not stressed out and the coffee keeps up with the quality. Love this coffee spot and it’s one of my favourite in Melbourne.
Delicious coffee and can definitely see why this place gets such good reviews. Gets very busy but they are very fast and getting coffees out. Quite a nice experience overall. A true tribute to Melbourne coffee culture. You can definitely do some people watching here as welll
Cake has a balanced pistachio and raspberry taste with a very smooth sweet cream
Coffee are the best, both duke espresso blend and el savador las laderas filter coffee have a very distinct taste, refreshing and not acidic to start your day!
Lovely small cafe with a great dim ambiance amidst an otherwise busy CBD. Coffee is excellent though perhaps not as good as some other neighbouring cafes. That said, you can't go wrong with coffee in Melbourne and the difference against the competition is marginal.
The only con I'll give it is the lack of more seating but it's obvious that Dukes is catered towards the CBD takeout crowd.
Duke's Roasters is a dark, almost subterranean, lair/cafe.
They roast their own beans and ensure it's all organic. As such, they ensure quality from bean to cup. Really nice, but they didn't have any croissants.
Had a flat white which had a strong roast flavour balanced with a sweet creamy profile. A very good coffee.
Absolutely perfect taste for me. Best almond milk latte I have had in Australia. The staff are polite and professional. The Interior style is minimalistic and high quality. Moreover, they make coffee faster and faster, I love it! This is now my regular stop on the walk from the train station to studio.
As they were busy, the workers could not provide me with a good coffee and it was expensive more than other coffee shops.
Excellent coffee and kourabiedes!
The kourabiedes are actually really really good.
I tried the flat white from Dukes Coffee Roasters and, although I wouldn't rank it as one of the best coffees I've had in Melbourne, I still enjoyed it. The coffee had a smooth texture and a nutty. The barista was friendly and the service was quick. I found the coffee to be a bit on the weaker side, but that didn't detract from the overall experience.
Great coffee with a range of beans to try. Don’t be intimidated by a line, the staff inside are efficient and it moves quickly.
