DTM Automatic Transmissions Geelong

DTM are absolute legends! I am driving across the country from Toowoomba to Perth and stopping off in Melbs, I noticed a massive transmission leak (make or break the trip) and was recommended DTM. They where booked all week but said they could at the very least have a look to identify where it was coming from, next thing I know they made some time for me replaced the sump gasket and a few other seals and the ol Subaru has no more leaks.
Super transparent and realistic in what could be achieved, very reasonably priced and just all round great team. Highly recommend! Saved my trip

Had auto that was perfect serviced and had trouble from day one and they wouldn’t fix I asked for parts and oil that was replaced with other parts to see myself they said they through them out wen I asked for them not my go to place

These guys were fantastic. My car basically needed a new transmission - quoted $19k from dealer in Geelong, which was more than the car was worth. I called DTM feeling a bit hopeless but they were super helpful over the phone and were able to book me in within a reasonable time frame. They looked into things the day the car was in and kept me in the loop throughout the process. They sourced an very low kms second hand transmission and had it fitted way ahead of schedule, for a very reasonable price. So much more efficient and friendly than the dealer as well. Craig and the team at DTM are brilliant. They rebuilt a Turbo 700 for my 65 C10, installed a new cross-member and oil cooler and fabricated linkages for the column shift. Pricing was as expected for the amount of work and hours that went into the job. Craig and Sam didn't hold back any communication and were always upfront about any issue that popped up. All in all, super happy and will definitely be back for whatever transmission work I need in the future. Thanks boys!

I called DTM after being referred to them by another shop to get my transmission looked at. The man on the phone was very rude to me, asking why I took my car to the other shop and saying 'did you just take it there for no reason? '. When I explained I went there to have a noise in my wheels looked at and they found something wrong with my transmission in the process, he then said 'well you can't bring your car here and expect us to know what the ten sounds it's making are'. I was very shocked when he said this as he was the one asking me all the questions and I never asked him to check my whole car, I just said I need the transmission looked at.

He went on to imply I didn't look after my car properly, to which I told him I had already had everything fixed that I needed to and this other sound was getting fixed next service, and all I needed them to do was look at the transmission. Needless to say I cancelled the appointment because if someone is going to be horrible over the phone, I don't want them near my car.

Everyone may have different experiences but this was mine and I would not suggest it for anyone.

And to DTM if you're reading this, you may want to make sure whoever is answering the phone actually has some customer service skills because they're costing you money.

Very helpful - had vacuum valve needed for transmission on my older van. Needed to re-jig my time/day and they were very accomodating and professional. Hard to find sometimes when your knowledge is limited. Thanks guys!

Had my 4x4 tuned by the fellas down at DTM Automotive. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had and we're prompt in getting my vehicle in, even though it was close to Christmas. They ran me through he process, got it done and went for the most effective and efficient tune. Unlike others they went for the best results in regards to power and fuel efficiency, not just squeezing as much out of it. My diesel now drives beautifully with the power right were it needs to be. Very happy with the results.

Transmission light was on for a few days and then went off and stayed off.
They couldn't find fault and said to drop back anytime if the light came on again and they'd test it while it was doing it.
Then because they didn't do anything they didn't charge me.

I've had a performance btr transmission built by these guys and tuning done on both my race cars.

Excellent service provided by the staff at DTM. Kept me informed of the progress of the service to the transmission of my Land Rover Discovery and finished the job on time.

Considering the work that was involved to perform the service and replacement of the pan and filter with genuine parts and fluid, the cost was very reasonable.

I am very fussy with my cars and went under the car to check things out when I got home. Apart from some fluid that had spilled onto the crossmember and had run down slightly on the drive home, that was the ONLY thing I could find out of place
