Dragon Temple reviews
39The best Chinese food I've had in a long time. The staff are very pleasent and friendly.
Lovely staff and the food is delicious! Recommend this restaurant 10/10! Will be returning!
Beautiful decor inside, authentic and delicious food. Service was impressive, relaxed and friendly. 30 years of history in this place. Loved every minute of our experience at this restaurant! Highly recommend the fried rice, pork belly and lemon chicken!
Love the home made dim sims for a quick snack between jobs especially with the sweet n sour sauce. Would highly recommend to all!
We had a great experience at Dragon temple, highly recommend this place
Simon and staff were awesome, food was fantastic
Ill certainly dine here again
We have ordered a take away sweet and sour chicken with a special fried rice and i have NEVER experienced such a disgusting tasteless, saturated in oil old chicken. My advice to everyone please do not buy from this place! Nothing but filthly cheap dog food.
I'm a big fan of their Curry Prawns, they are so delicious but a bit expensive. Don't mind paying extra for good food.
Not great, soggy food
Delivery took a long time, we are within 0.4 km from the place.
Won’t be doing this again
Always looking for great spots for lunch and or dinner.
I had a great lunch. My meal was served promptly, it was delicious and hot and the service was great.
Looks like this will become our family go to when we’re not cooking at home.
Thanks for a great meal! ️
Love everything about this place the food, the people, the family atmosphere.just like home
Great food and friendly staff! Really loved the soft-shell crab and green beans. The flavours were something I'd missed and the place felt like a solid, old-school Chinese restaurant in the best way
So glad to have discovered this gem. It's easily the best Chinese restaurant this side of town. The food was soooo good, I ate every last bite. I was just thinking about licking the plates when staff arrived to clear them. Just as well, now I can return for another meal.
Staff is not good there. I wanted to use restroom for my child. It was an emergency at that time for my child. Your staff was not allowed to use the restroom, that was not fare. I don't think so, you need to treat a Child same as your Customer.
Ordered take away midweek and it was hearty and delicious. The person who delivered it was lovely and we'll definitely eat in the restaurant next time
Friendly staff. That is all I can say that is positive. Ordered take away all items completely void of flavour. I spent $59 - should of got in the car and gone to Coles as the frozen section has more- flavour at fraction of price. I regret to have to leave such a review but I am absolutely disgusted that nothing had an inch of taste - even the free prawn crackers no taste. My daughter and I I guess are just used to true Asian. This is I am sorry to say.why? Not fresh veg or meat and tasteless sauces. Cheap beyond at least spice it if you are going to use packaged produce. But for us, just No never again.
Best chinese food so far in Melbourne. Brought my family for the first time and everyone loved it! Service was a lil slow but that’s understandable as they’re shorthanded. Overall experience was great!
One of the best and most authentic Chinese meals I’ve had for a long time! A group of mates travelled from eastern suburbs as we’d heard it was great. Didn’t disappoint. Food was amazing. Staff were friendly and attentive. We had garlic beef, crispy pork belly, fried rice, crispy skin chicken, home made sesame prawns and dim sims and of course sweet and sour pork plus more. Everything was sensational. Well worth a visit and highly recommend. Great value for money and equal in quality to the best in Melbourne!
I was feening for some authentic Chinese food after having been in Melbourne for 2 weeks. I loved the chicken parmigiana, the burgers and meat pies. I even had a kangaroo steak. But when my pal recommended Dragon Temple I went right away. Very convenient to get to by Metro even from St Kinda where my hotel was located. Menu was easy to read and varied. I hone in on the stir fry section and order. Soon after my table is filled with juicy tofu, mixed garlic vegetables and prawns on sizzling hot plate, spring rolls and chicken satay. Food was fresh clean & flavourful! The restaurant is very cosy so I took my time and ate. It was the best chinese/asian food i have had in a long time, And I'm from Singapore!
Thank you to Simon, who was on hand with friendly conversation. I never knew Kai-Lan is Chinese Broccoli!
When it was time for me to leave the staff helped me organise a cab! DO NOT MISS!
As a local, was only happy to look past other negative reviews & give this restaurant a go…. Big mistake! Owner justified his rudeness due to being stressed. Was hesitant to rectify error or “misunderstanding” as dish comes as stir fry veges & was only to happy to fob me off back to app food was ordered through.
No where on menu does it stipulate that the roast pork comes with vegetables as per other dishes on the menu.
**Received my refund only after I had to physically visit the restaurant & loudly expressing what I specifically ordered was not received.
Prawn crackers were also given in a USED recyclable bag & stale.
My review is therefore based on my first & last experience with this restaurant.
