The 5 star reviews that have increased the ratings are paid reviews from non authentic clients of Vijay Raj - don’t be fooled. This man is a rude, harsh, unkind and outdated psychiatrist. I am sorry in advance if you are unlucky enough to fall into his waitlist, but just know not all psychiatrists are like this man! Just another terrible service reflecting poorly on Australia’s mental health system. Please avoid this man!

Dr Raj saved my son. He is an amazing clinician and extremely knowledgeable and kind. His staff are lovely. Very highly recommended.

Tms has been unbelievable my negative thoughts are not there to grab onto anymore its been 22 years of medication with no great result's but tms has given me clar mind

Dr. Vijay Raj is not only an experienced and intelligent psychiatrist, but is also empathetic and understanding. Dr. Raj has been able to provide me with the opportunity to get the assessments and treatments that I have needed, and has completely changed my life. I wouldn't be where I am today with the support of Dr. Raj and his team. Thank you!

A psychiatrist who throws a psychotic patient out on the street because they're "rude" is like a urologist banishing an incontinent person for accidentally peeing in the bed. Dr Raj, my daughter is making exponential progress since you misdiagnosed and refused to treat her. She has since come in contact with an amazing, competent, compassionate doctor who properly diagnosed her condition and has her on a steep trajectory to recovery.
However, we do appreciate that you gave some written diagnosis, albeit incorrect. It's guidance helped other health workers look incompetent too. At least it opened doors even if they did only lead to dead end alleys.
That's why I'm giving you 2 stars not just 1. Bravo!

Do not recommend. Had no empathy or understanding whatsoever in the session. I felt as if I was being so judged, it was a big waste of money. He was not friendly at all.

I do no recommend Vijay Raj. He is an awful service and his manner in which he treats clients is appalling.

Terrible service. When I informed Dr Raj I wasn’t happy with how cold he treated myself and my carer and how disrespectful he had been, his only offer was another clinician, no apology, no refund. That’s his was of stating the way he views those with mental illness, so ‘unwell’ we wouldn’t know what respect is like or what we are talking about. You are part of the stigma that doesn’t help mental health. We are people, and can be of sound mind knowing your treatment isn’t right and it’s clear you lack any human empathy. So Vijay, thanks but I found a good clinician who actually helped me. The total opposite of what you provided.

** Given how unknowledgeable you were as a psychiatrist in regards to mental health, it's humorous that the way you have chosen to deal with a complaint about your services provided is to offer a suggestion of another clinician, obviously your opinion on anything let alone someone else in the field for something as serious as mental illness is worthless to me. Thanks for showing the internet the lack of value for service you offer to them via this review, however I will decline your offer as I have since connected the client with someone who had real certifications for psychiatry and offered solutions:)
Hopefully my review saves a life from anyone seeking help from this man for their mental health. I strongly advise to not waste your time or money visiting 'Dr' Raj. His website may look impressive, however his services are appalling.his manner in which he speaks to patients and treats them overall is atrocious. Vijay is cold, smug, outdated in his knowledge of mental health and overall I would say he has absolutely no empathy towards those he works with.
