1 I went to see Dr Shyamalar Gunatheesan as a last resort to get my psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis under control. I had seen dermatologist after dermatologist in Melbourne but none of them could help me.
By chance, she was recommended to me by a mate who she helped treat for nail psoriasis using biologics. I booked in to see her without expecting much but my goodness, Dr Gunatheesan has changed my life for the better. Not only did she help get my condition in check, she also helped me understand my triggers which had me changing my lifestyle for a healthier future.
Best of all, her clinic offers bulk-billed phototherapy which has been amazing given the frequency of treatments required. She doesn't have to offer this but it goes to show the level of compassion and care she has for her patients. ODE Dermatology is a beautiful, serene space that I love to come to again and again.
