Dr Shikha Parmar

Dr Parmar is the best doctor I have been treated by possibly ever. She is very attentive, listens to your concerns, provides multiple ways of treatment and action plans for future medical problems in case of resurfacing issues. I could not recommend her enough.

Doctor Shikha is the keeper and Rhiannon is the guardian.
My previous treatment lasted 5 years, so great work and big cheers.

I attended Dr Parmar's clinic in July 2020 with a chronic rib injury. I spent two years Trying numerous treatment options, including osteopath, physio, chiro, Myotheraphy and it wasn't getting better. One month of treatment with Laser Pain Therapy Clinic I was completely healed. And haven't had one set back since. I have since attended Dr Parmar's clinic for other injuries including bursitis and other muscle strains, and she has been able to help me with each injury. Could not recommend her treatment and this clinic more! Good and genuine service:)

In 2018 Dr Parmar treated me for hip bursitis. I had tried cortisone injections, acupuncture and physiotherapy for years without success. Dr. Parmar's laser therapy cured my bursitis and it has never come back. In April this year I returned to her for help with extremely painful back spasms. They had been troubling me for over thirty years and had become more frequent and more painful in the past year; so much so that I had gone to hospital emergency on three occasions for assistance with pain management. The drugs the medical staff gave me helped, but the spasms always returned. I felt desperate for help and although I now live almost 400 kilometres from Melbourne I decided to consult Dr. Parmar again. I'm so glad I did. Over the past three months she has treated me with laser therapy and during that time I have had just one very mild spasm which quickly resolved itself. Now that the laser therapy has done its healing work she has given me a set of simple exercises to strengthen my back muscles. I am once again deeply grateful to Dr. Parmar. To live in frequent pain for many years is hard. To be relieved of that pain, and the fear that comes with it, is a joy that cannot be adequately described, or overstated.

I had been suffering with a heel spur for several months and after having a failed cortisone injection in my heel I was feeing a bit depressed. I was very active but could not attend my Hot Pilates classes due to my heel & plantar facia pain in my foot. However, when a friend (who had already finished her treatment with a positive result) recommended that I give LLLT a go, I did. I am so glad that I made that call for an appt because now after 7 sessions I have reached pain free walking & comfort for the first time in months and am well on the way to recovery. I cannot thank Dr Parmar and her team enough for there professionalism from the time I booked the appt with Rhiannon to my first consult with Dr Parma who was very thorough when noting down my injury & medical history. Dr Parma was continuously monitoring and checking my progress at each session. And when at the beginning I was getting frustrated with the pain she would encourage me to stay the course, be patient, follow home care instructions & never give up. I am very thankful and will certainly recommend Dr Parmar and her team to my family and friends.

I have had a painful back for a few months and tried seeing the chiropractor for relief which did not work. Dr Parmar was great! The laser treatment took a while to take effect and my pain reduced over time to now very little- to non. Treatment worth considering! Thank you for your help!

Laser Pain Therapy has helped me considerably and I highly recommend it. I'm 30 years old and for the past 18 months I've struggled with an achilles injury suffered from playing football. Even walking I found incredibly difficult and having a constant limp was really impacting other parts of my body and my enjoyment for life. After completing 6 weeks of treatment with Dr Parmar I'm now able to walk pain free and getting back into daily exercise including running.

Dr Parmar has done a fantastic job relieving me of so much pain that I had endured for 4 months prior to her Laser treatment. I had been going to a Physio for the 4 months but was only getting temporary relief which was so frustrating. If you actually want to get better go and see Dr Parmar she is AMAZING! For years I have seen Melbourne's "best" with little to no lasting results. Worse than the thousands of dollars, empty promises and band aid "fixes" was the emotional toil and the attitude of dealing with many "medical professionals".

Dr Parmar is the most intelligent, down to earth, beautifully spoken and easily understood doctor who actually takes the time to explain what is going on and then backs it up with results. THANK YOU for finally being a Dr that fixes the problem! I obviously recommend her and am grateful for this remarkable service.

I never thought I would be pain free until I went to see Dr Shikha who has changed my life, my husbands life and our whole family. Thank you for being a highly qualified, professional and exceptional Doctor who has changed pain management/treatment in this country and certainly in my eyes. I will be spreading the word. It was a pleasure attending the sessions, I did not experience any pain during treatment and Dr Shikha was impressive to say the least. My only disappointment is I cant have her as my GP and our whole families private Doctor!
