Dr. Shalini is really nice. She is role model. She is my inspiration. I went there when I was ended up with no hope. The way she motivated me was superb. Highly recommended.

Dr Shalini Dewan, is a kind and compassionate doctor. I had a small procedure done in late December 2022. She is very confident, and she put me at ease as I was so nervous. Dr Shalini called me with the result, when my own GP didn't! Got an appointment in a timely manner and everything went went well. Shalini is a credit to the Medical Profession. Thank you so much!

My OB was out of the country so I ended up with Dr Dewan. When she tried to break my waters, I needed gas due to the pain and she said if I couldn’t handle this pain how was I going to handle labour, and, laughed, saying that I’d definitely need an epidural. It completely shattered any confidence I had. I would never return to Dr Dewan and wouldn’t recommend her.

I recently had a surgical procedure done. Dr. Dewan handled my pre-surgical anxiety with a lot of empathy, maturity and professionalism. The surgery itself went very well, there were some spot decisions that needed to be taken whilst the surgery was in progress and I feel that Dr. Dewan took medically sound decisions with a wholistic approach towards my well being. My recovery expectations were well mapped out and closely monitored by Dr. Dewan. I had a very high quality experience with Dr. Shalini Dewan and would highly recommend her.

I could not have asked for better care. Kind, compassionate and swift with a solution. I've read the negative reviews and can't believe it could be the same person who cared for me.

Will never ever go back to Dr Dewan. Visited in December and waited 2 hours in the waiting room. TWO HOURS.
As if my experience could've gotten any worse.well it did.
I was dealt with in an extremely unprofessional manner. Dr. Dewan was chuckling as I was telling her my symptoms of what I thought was endometriosis and even more so when she was asking questions about my "personal" life, which I did however have no problem in answering, but I still felt judged and patronised.
It doesn't end there though! I told her I had been experiencing fatigue which was abnormal for me, and asked if this was linked to endometriosis. Her response was "Everybody's tired, " and then did that awkward condescending laugh she was doing throughout the whole appointment, each time I told her something.
I felt as though I was not listened to or heard AT ALL throughout the appointment, ESPECIALLY while telling her about my abnormal fatigue.
"EVERYBODY'S TIRED"? I always get adequate sleep and was on holidays.but she did not even ask about that. What doctor just dismisses a patient's symptoms like that?
After hearing someone else had a bad experience with her and reading other bad reviews, I thought I'd share mine. The experience is still etched in my mind, 7 MONTHS LATER.

What fantastic care and treatment I have received from Shalini. I recently had to undergo a procedure and the care and attention I got was amazing. Right from providing me with the information and following through to after care. Attention to detail and an eagerness to help are her hallmark. A great gynecologist who I would recommend to anyone

The most generous, helpful and professional doctor I have ever met in Australia. She helped us in each and every possible way. We are thankful to god that our GP referee us to Dr Shalini.

Dr Shalini couples her gentle demeanor with a healthy dose of practicality. I was put immediately at ease when I first consulted her and 4 years later, I am still certain of getting the best advice possible!

Dr Dewan has looked after me and a staff member of mine. She has gone out of her way to look after our needs. She is practical, to the point and doesn't waste your time.

Dr Shalini is one of the gentlest souls I have ever met. She cared for my wife like she was her own child. She came on her day off just to provide care for my wife and perform surgery when my wife had a complication. She did not leave the hospital until my wife had recovered and checked in on her later in the night to make sure she was doing fine.

Needless to say, she is also my wife's doctor of choice for her second time as well and we are glad to have someone like her. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a trusting and caring professional. We drive 45 minutes just so we can see her for the checkups and she is always very courteous and aware of our long travel to see her.

People who complain about long wait times need to be a little bit understanding of her profession. If her patient has had a complication like my wife did, Dr Shalini will give her all the time she needs and not rush her patient in a vulnerable state, probably having the worst day of their life. Of course that will result in the doctor running late for others. As a result my wife brings reading material for her regular checks because she knows that it's ok if she has to wait because someone earlier in the day might have needed extra TLC like she once did.

Keep up the good work!

Not a quality service. Consultation with a prescription focused doctor was rushed and very unprofessional.
Waited 45 minutes for an appointment. Receptionist entered the room unannounced mid consultation whilst discussing private medical history making a big scene and distrupting the consultation to find a bag of chocolate.
Although she didn’t have my full medical history yet and no testing had been conducted, I was pressured to go on a number of different drugs (some for things that were unrelated my gyno condition). I made it clear I was not not willing to take the medication as I had previously used it and had some very bad reactions. When I disagreed with going on the drugs because they are not safe for me I was told that it was my only option for managing my condition (although have found from a second opinion that there are many alternatives).
I felt belittled about my condition and the only hope to help treat it was to use the drugs. She literally used the words ‘guinea pig’ when telling me she wanted to test out a new medication she’s been wanting to prescribe. After making me feel completely worthless, she asked me what my name was, basically pushed me out the door in tears, and charged $200 at the end of the ordeal.
Really disappointed that people like this are in care giving positions. It was pretty clear that she just wanted to put me on medication regardless of the negative side effects they have on me and collect a nice pay cheque, rather than consider my wellbeing and provide proper treatment. The whole experience left me feeling terrible, and as tho it was my own fault for having to manage symptoms of a genetic condition because I can’t safely take a certain medications.
Would not recommend this service, you’d be better off spending your money at the circus.

Waited one hour for an appointment.
Lacking any empathy or understanding regarding pain related to gynaecological conditions. Do not waste your time or money if you are looking for any help regarding pain management, you will be made to feel like you are making it up. I have never felt worse than that day that I left that appointment with her. After feeling completely disregarded and put down for a condition I have been immensely suffering with for 15 years which has drastically affected my quality of life, I was rushed out the door in a clearly distressed state with no concern about my welfare. I drove home in absolute tears after this experience, I was made to feel like nothing.
