I met Dr Meei Yeung in 2008 for the first time had a left thyroidectomy with a speedy recovery and saw her again last week for the right thyroidectomy again had a speedy recovery pain free. She is the most sweetest and very professional surgeons I have ever met.

I have been a patient of Dr Meei Yeung for the past 9 years and recently had a hemi hyroidectomy performed by her at Cabrini Brighton.
The process from start to finish was absolutely seamless.

I've just undergone thyroid surgery performed by Dr. Meei Yeung. She's an incredible surgeon with extensive expertise in thyroid-related conditions. Although thyroid surgery may seem minor, it's quite intricate due to its positioning. I consider myself fortunate to have found Dr. Meei and received her expert guidance. My endocrine doctor referred me to her, and I trust her after my initial appointment. Dr. Meei is both knowledgeable and compassionate, taking the time to provide thorough explanations. I had a wonderful experience of a parathyroidectomy with Dr Yeung. I was nervous about it but Dr Yeung’s before care and after care have been very caring and considered, making sure I was extremely well-informed. I had already met Meei when she operated on my daughter Rachel for a suspicious thyroid nodule. Meei had great care, empathy and understanding of the concerns my daughter had for her health. She instilled confidence in Rachel. Meei’s surgical skill allowed for an excellent outcome for my daughter. Soon after her surgery I found that I had a significant growth in my thyroid, and I immediately asked for my GP to refer me to Meei. I experienced the same care, concern, and empathy from Meei, and I have undergone surgeries to remove my thyroid. Due to Meei’s surgical skill and her coordination of a team to assist me with these surgeries my outcome has been excellent.

I was diagnosed with a cancerous nodules in my thyroid in late 2022.
As such I was referred to Dr Meei Yeung in her capacity as an endocrine surgeon. With the value of hindsight I was extremely fortunate to have been referred to her at what was a very stressful and concerning time for me and my family.
Dr Yeung’s compassion, empathy and most importantly her skill as a surgeon has resulted in an excellent outcome. My left thyroid had been removed more than 10 years ago by a respectful professor, when I had thyroid problems again this time the professor retired long ago. I searched online and found Dr. Yeung, after reading all the reviews; I decided she is the best I could find. I believe the reviews because all of them have a story, not just a few good words. Before meeting Dr. Yeung and her secretary Jemma I felt I already knew them. They are actually really like people said, very nice.
I had surgery 14 days ago at the Alfred Hospital. This time surprised me. After surgery about two hours I walked myself to the bathroom, 24 hours later I took trams back home all the way without pain. Since surgery I have not taken any painkiller for pain. The scar is even better than before.
By comparing the two operation experiences, this time like a miracle, I guess she may have some high-tech tools or new ways to operate so she could minimize the wound. She is a really brilliant Surgeon and exceeds the seniors of her profession.
Beside the super surgical skill she is genuine compassionate and care person, extremely thorough. She explains everything you need to know even if I do not have a question.

I have had an excellent experience with both Dr Yeung and her assistant Gemma. Both have made me feel so at ease with the whole process and are so kind to deal with. Dr Yeung has an amazing bedside manner, and really listens. She doesn't recommend surgery for the sake of it and will give you an honest opinion on anything you ask. The biggest thing for me was that she listens, and didn't dismiss any concerns I had even if they were ill informed from someone else. I felt like I was part of the process and decisions rather than being told what was going to happen. At the hospital while recovering it was clear that the nursing staff were big fans of hers also, particularly her level of organization and kind nature. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

We cannot thank Dr Yeung enough for her incredible precision, expertise and utmost care. She deserves 10 stars!

When my wife was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer this year in April, it was an extremely difficult time for us esp.during COVID 19. Dr Yeung has been a life saver and her guidance and interpersonal approach alleviated the pain significantly for us.
