Mr Lopez has taught me different perspectives of daily things I perceive in the world. He helped me gain, not only a broader understanding of english concepts, but also different perspectives on how society works in the world today. Most importantly, he helped me gain skills and confidence in my english capabilities.

I had the privilege of working with Mark Lopez for a solid year, navigating the challenges of my year 12 English journey. Originating from an economically disadvantaged background with lackluster English instructors, Mark emerged as my sole lifeline, steering me through the tumultuous waters of senior year. The insights I gained during our sessions were unparalleled, positioning me above my peers by arming me with knowledge they didn't have.

Beyond the academic realm, Mark and I engaged in numerous thought-provoking conversations before and after class, evolving our relationship from tutor-student to genuine friends. Looking back on the year, it dawned on me that the lessons extended far beyond the academic curriculum. Amazing English tutor, getting Mark to be my tutor was the best decision I made in year 12 English. He provides detailed and accurate advice on the VCE English system, how to write fluently and most importantly helps you to properly understand the media that you work on.

Hands down the best tutor in Melbourne. In year 11 I was failing english. I truly thought there was no solution, nothing out there that could fix my english scores. However, Mark Lopez throughout this year has raised me up further than I ever could imagine. I was getting under 50% throughout most of year 11, and thanks to Mark, I've done well in my sacs and gotten a raw study score of 38 in year 12, which is approximately the top 15% of all students. I couldn't reccomend him more.

I told my maths methods tutor I had the best english tutor in the state, and it turns out he had mark for last year when he was in year 12. He agreed he is the best. In english throughout year 11 my average mark was approximately 50-60%. I never thought i'd improve, but after having tutoring with Mark, my scores were lifted and now I stand with a high 80 average and ready for the exam. Mark is an amazing teacher. He had made my average marks go from 50-60% as I used to be very poor in English and my writing skills were very bad. I had the privilege of having Mark as my tutor during my VCE nearly 20 years ago and he has been a friend and mentor since. Mark is one of the most educated and interesting people I’ve ever had the pleasure of learning from. Not only did he assist with enhancing my love of education but he also taught me how to learn and how to succeed in the academic world. This knowledge and self belief helped me achieve straight A+’s throughout high school, straight distinctions and high distinctions throughout university and a scholarship for my masters degree as well as full scholarship offers to do a PHD.
