I am saddened that Dr Lee has retired as I received excellent treatment for over 20 years.

After speaking directly to people in the precinct where he formerly worked, I can confirm that Dr Michael Lee has now retired. I feel compelled, however, to put on record that over the decade or so he regularly treated me (treatment which included one operation on my ear lobe) I found Dr Lee to be unfailingly kind, generous, humane and interested in me as a person — as well as thoroughly skilled in his specialty. I have no idea why some people seem to have taken it into their heads to use reviews to demean his reputation. All I can say is that none of those adverse reviews appear to refer in any way to the person I dealt with very happily over a long period of time. Thank you, Dr Lee! I will miss your kind smile, and words of wisdom on all kinds of subjects.

My experience with Dr Lee was not pleasant. I found him to be dismissive, condescending and defensive. He also lacked empathy and was extremely unprofessional.
He welcomed any questions, however his responses were defensive as though I was questioning his integrity. He responded with: "You should just do what I say because I am the doctor". "You need to look at the glass half full instead of the glass half empty". "You need to be patient" - rather than listening to my question and providing a constructive or helpful response.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt after the first appointment and ended up seeing him three times. The third time I took my partner to the appointment in case my opinions were unfair - my partner told me never to return.
After each appointment, Dr Lee would continue our private conversation as we walked out of his office into the reception area. The receptionist and any other patients waiting could hear my whole treatment plan - so embarassing and unprofessional.
I have since sought a second opinion from another dermatologist who provided a different treatment plan and my skin improved instantly. I could not be happier since leaving Dr Lee.
I would not recommend Dr Lee to anyone.

Does anyone know where Dr. Li has moved to? Can't get in touch with Dr. Li? Do you know that? I have seen Dr. Li before, very good. I recently went to the clinic and seems to have moved out. I need to see Dr. Li urgently.

I’ve been seeing Dr Lee for over 20 years. He is very professional and caring.
He always treats me with respect and is down to earth…I have never felt rushed during my consultation.
I would highly recommend him to any of my family and friends.

Very similar experience to the others mentioned here. I actually saw Dr Lee from adolescence through to this year (about 8 years total) until I finally decided enough was enough. I've forked up a total of thousands of dollars over the years and he's never once treated me with anything that felt like genuine respect. I kind of feel silly for going to see him for so many years before deciding I wasn't crazy and he really was treating me disrespectfully. Laughed at quite an embarrassing and private condition I had. Condescending. Didn't tolerate any questions no matter how constructive. Couldn't be happier since going elsewhere.

I found Dr Michael Lee to be professional and caring. A pleasant person to deal with. No question was dismissed and had time to address any concerns.
Advised time to I would be at hospital which was correct and made it easier for my husband who was picking me up.
I would recommend Dr Lee to my friends.

Saw Dr Lee today, and I honestly question his proffesionalism. Asked him a basic question such as "my skin had gotten worse, what do i do? ". Instead of finding a solution or listening to what I had to say, he instead shuts me and says the problem was "my perception". What an absolute c*nt. Let's not forget, the fees was $150 for a 5 minute talk, a talk where it was only one sided. Don't recommend anyone coming here.

I saw Dr Lee today and I appalled by the fact that I was charged $200 for an initial consultation as a new patient when I have seen him and worked at the Epworth Eastern in the past. Oh did I mention I saw him for 5 minutes! Shame on you!

Dr Lee is possibly the most dismissive, condescending and defensive doctor I have ever met. His bedside manner is appalling, he lacks empathy and understanding and his clinical knowledge is questionable.
He welcomes questions, however when you ask, he treats you like you're questioning his integrity- using statements like "You should just do what I say because I am the Doctor"; "You need to look at the glass half full instead of glass half empty"; "you need to be patient"; rather than listening to your concerns and working with you to find a solution.
I gave him the benefit of the doubt after the first appointment, ended up seeing him three times- my concerns and opinion did not waver. At the end of each appointment he also continued our private conversation as we walked out of his office into the reception area so the receptionist and any other clients in earshot could hear. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I have since sought a second opinion from another dermatologist who also questioned Dr Lee's treatment methods. I would not recommend him to anyone.

I’ve seen Dr Lee over a number of years now for various treatments for different conditions. And never once have I had any problems. Highly recommend as he isn’t one of those doctors who recommends expensive treatment for the sake of making money, he actually cares and gives sound advice!

Unlike the other reviewer, I could not praise Michael more highly. He has treated me, my wife and my mother, with friendliness and great professionalism. I have recommended him to numerous friends and will continue to do so: he is knowledgeable and very efficient, and a great doctor

Downright rude. Rushed out the door, scolded for asking questions. The guy makes $180 in 5 minutes, could show a little compassion. His office overlooks a park where the general public can see. He didn't bother closing the curtain when examining (I had to take my pants off) and continued loudly discussing my embarrassing problem out in the reception area as he collected his notes for the next patient. He did the same for the patient before me too. Avoid.
