Dr David Devonshire Gastroenterologist reviews
12 Mr David Devonshire is one of the best Gastroenterolgist. I highly recommend him.
Two years ago Mr Devonshire diagnosed during a Gastoscopy that I had early stage Asophageal cancer.
Mr Devonshire assisted associate Professor Mr Paul Cashin during my surgery. The cancer was removed and today I am free from it and healthy. Mr Devonshire and Mr Cashin work well together as a team. I was extremely lucky that my cancer was diagnosed early.
Mr David Devonshire and Mr Paul Cashin thank you. You saved my life.
Very knowledgeable and friendly, but with the eye always firmly fixed on the ball. Able to explain what was a complex medical issue without the use of complex medico argots; striking a fine balance that enabled me to understand what was going on without feeling that I was being spoken down to. (This is somethingI find lacking in a of medicos). Most importantly, David is very thorough and has a great eye for detail. I wouldn't take any notice of the one 1 star on this site - all the others are 5 stars. Sometimes people have a need to blame the doctor, as opposed to looking at what actually occurred. It's hard to be objective about your own body.
David was a great doctor he explained everything only problem was when he did an ercp on me he nicked the duodenum I was, not supposed to live but I'm still here 4 major surgeries 10 transfusions CT washouts sepsis pancreatitis and life support and induced coma two and a half months in hospital but I survived lost my job and I still have problems
My daughter and I have been dealing with David for 7 years. I could not recommend a better specialist. He really cares about his patients.
I delayed having a hernia operation for 2 years until we were lucky enough to find Dr Paul Cashin. I was extremely nervous going under the knife for the fist time. He listened to my concerns and walked me through the process, which made me feel more comfortable. He is a genuine, down to earth Aussie professional, who doesn't charge an arm and a leg. The surgery went smoothly from start to finish. Dr Brett Pearce administered the General Anaesthetic, he was friendly, helpful and reassuring every step of the way. I would highly recommended Dr Cashin, Dr Pearce and their team.

Best doctor that wee have come across. Down to earth and always has plenty of time for his patients. Thank you
Forget about Davids knowledge and commitment about resolving health matters, He is one of the greatest people I met in my life (mind you I held of writing this review prematurely, writing this after my 3rd visit to him). Thanks David for everything you do for patients.
Dr Devonshire is a knowledgable, caring, kind and very effective Gastroenterologist.
I have had a combination of gastrointestinal issues for a decade and for the first time, thanks to David I'm on the road to feeling human again.
I doubt the validity of any review that is less than 5 stars.
I find Marie comments outrageous she must have confused David with another doctor. David is the kindest and most trusting Gastroentrerologist I have ever had. I had a serious serious stomach ulcer and issue and after being in Monash (Public) for two weeks within none of the Doctors able to work out what was wrong. I left on my accord still very ill and went to another Gastroentrerologist who actually recommend that I see David as he was a specialist in what was required and he was the only person who could rectify the issue. He was even so kind as to put me through as Public Patient as my insurance wouldn't cover me. He is also booked out months in advance so again Marie, no idea who you are talking about but it isn't David.
Misdiagnosed a very serious condition, got all of the patient information wrong and would not discuss the issues raised, became very defensive when mistakes were pointed out and was arrogant and unprofessional. Would you want someone like this treating you, I certainly would not.
